I may just be a nervous mom, but better safe than sorry!

We're at my parents house, its really warm in their house- from my mom cooking all day. Its like 80 degrees in here. I've had Alexa wrapped in a blanket most of the day too and took her temp an hr ago and it was 100.00. So I took the blanket off, she just has a onesie on- waited a bit and now she's at 99.5. She's nursing great as normal, not fussy, or showing any signs of sickness.

Could the warmness in the house and her being covered in a warm blanket cause a rise in body temperature???

WDYT???

Thanks!!!

Hmmm, I may be no help. The warmest Cambria has been was 97....And that was with a blanket and long sleeper on. But all babies are different so she could just be a little warm from being all bundled up.

I wouldn't be alarmed if the temp is going down and she isn't showing any other signs of sickness or not feeling well. See how it is in the morning and if its still a bit elevated I"d call the doctor just to be safe. She probably just got warm being wrapped up - I tended to over clothe DS when he was a baby....mothers instinct! Good luck!

How did you take the temp? (rectal is best for under 6 months old then under the armpit with bulb in the middle deepest part, ear ones suck and the forehead ones are in the middle ground). Since it didn't stay over 100 degrees if it was me I wouldn't call. If it did stay over 100 degree or she had signs of sickness I would call since over 100 is high for a new born to 6 month baby.

I took it under the arm. Its down now to 98.8-9... went into a bit of a cooler room and nursed her and took it and its better. I like her all bundled up and cozy on me I love her laying on me!!!

Thanks girls
