I'm finally a licensed family child care provider!!!!
After months of hard work, insane paperwork, and a licensing agent that rescheduled my appointment SO many times........... I can now start my daycare. This is such a HUGE relief for me and DH. More than all the baby stuff we need to buy or do, this was the biggest thing on the list.
If I could drink, I'd celebrate. But eating a box of Peeps is cool too haha
**Baby boy, it's okay for you to come join us now! Mommy is ready!**

Congrats! Hey, did you ever update about house hunting before? I remember that you were looking at a couple different houses with room for your day care, but don't remember if you ever moved or anything.

It's been about 17 months since I started the process. The reason it took so long was because we were originally trying to sell our house and buy another.

The first step would be to contact your local Board of Education or Child Services. They can direct you to who you need to speak to. They usually have an orientation you can attend to get the basic info and regulations.
Be sure to stop by the Child Care Providers board for more info
