So now I've been second guessing our little boy's middle name.

We love the name Henry, especially since it honors my late grandmother. The reason we picked Edison is because Edward is a family name on his side. I wasn't wild about having DH and DS with the same name. So we figured Edison would be a good fit (meaning "the son of Edward").

Does Henry Edison sound pretentious?

I love it too! - what does a name sounding pretentious even mean....seriously someone said that to me about my son's name "Harrison Scott" and I was like please....he's is going to be better than every other little boy so a pretentious name is perfect - HE HE HE He's going to be your perfect little number one guy so give him the name you like!

I think it has a really nice ring to it! I love the name Henry (that's actually my top choice for boys name currently) and I think it has a good flow with Edison.

No need for second guessing! I think the name as a whole, and especcially with the personal meanings behind it is absolutely perfect! Don't sweat it!
