Ok so heres the deal - I got offered the baby horse at an extremly good price - the day after that hubby and I had a heart to heart and he said if I wanted to wait a year to TTC I could. Im so relived now its not even funny. Its not that I dont want to TTC, I just still feel like now isnt the right time. Now with the horse being offered to me for cheap, I said yes - meaning I cant get pregnant due to my labor intense job.
Heres my next question, my cervix is low, closed and firm - if I check with my middle finger, I can touch it with 3/4 of my finger. Could I be pregnant? I still havent had a period since the IUD came out, just thoes 3 days of light spotting. I just took a pregnancy test and it was more negitive than my husbands attitude with the dog LOL Ive been charting and temping (the last 2 days ive slacked) and I just dont see my body pulling thru this (which is fine, I dont want a period anyways haha) what does my cervix tell you? Also the opening of it feels like its all scabbed up, could that be, even 2 almost 3 weeks later? thanks guys!

Hey Beth - congrats on the horse! Sounds exciting. I honestly don't know what cervix position tells about being pregnant or not - I think nothing. I know a high cervix usually signals ovulation is approaching and that is a pretty defininte sign (at least it was for me). But I think that the cervix could be in any number of positions and the woman can be pregnant or not - I don't think cervix position can lead to a pregnancy sign. But I could be wrong....any other ladies have any ideas?
Is there a chance you could be preggo despite the negative test? DTD unprotected or any other signs that you ovulated since the IUD came out??? Otherwise I got nothin' Sorry

yeah we DTD unprotected last week, it wouldnt show up now. We DTD unprotected 3 days before the IUD came out, the same week I think I ovulated which means by the time the egg and sperm met, the wall of my uterus would have had enough lining to catch the egg. Thats my theory.

My body was always all wonkers so I would never know it was doing all that at specific times But I guess it sounds like its possible....you'll just have to give it another week or so and test again!

I mean if I were to get pregnant I could work around it, I can work till about 5 months - then the $$ saved up from working for her emergency fund, I can pay board with that, and I can get my job back asap after the baby. I mean if worse comes to worse.....But I just want to wait another year...

Position of cervix isn't usually a pregnancy sign (or not a common one at least). But you may want to call the doctor on the scab feeling---3weeks later sounds to me like it shouldn't be like that.
Congrats on the horse.

Cervix position/texture is not a pregnancy sign, it just means you aren't fertile right now... meaning you either ovulated already or just aren't going to ovulate yet. I don't know anything about the scabby feeling. I didn't know IUIs could do that to you!
No pics of the baby horse??

I wrote IUI! That's funny. Got my acronymns confused. IUI = artificial insemination. I meant IUD, but apparently that message didn't get to my fingers.
Anywho, yeah I would totally keep an eye on the scabby feeling. I would definitely think about going to the doc over it.

Congrats on the horse!! Exciting!
I don't know much about the cervix so I can't help there. Hope you can find some answers from the other ladies.

Did you have the Mirena? My doc told me it could take up to 6 months to get your period back post-mirena. It only took me a few weeks but my cycles were really messed up for another 5 or 6 months.
