since Oliver has pooped. Ugh.. I feel so bad for him. He must feel uncomfortable. I was only giving him a solids once per day or less. The last few days we stopped to see if he would go and nothing. We tried a little bit of water downed juice last night but he only drank maybe .5 oz of that. We also tried belly massage, back massage, and exercise. Nothing so far today. When should I start to REALLY worry. I'm already worried...

I have read BF babies can go 7 days too. But, I think it's the solid foods. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow if nothing comes out tonight!

Hmm.. ya it's normal for a BF baby but with the solids I would be a bit worried. I'd give the doctor a call like you said.. see what they say. I had to do watered down prune/apple/pear juice. All the juices that help the system. I also always put pears or apples in his cereal (but I'm not sure where you are at with the solids). That seemed to help a bit.

Hope he poops soon!! We are on day 7 here and plan to go out shopping so I'm taking LOTS of extra clothes and wipes and everything haha. I hope he doesn't go every where!

I hope he goes soon. I'm on day 7 today with Amara and I called the pedi this morning. She told me to try a teaspoon of sugar in 1oz of water and call her back if she doesn't go by this evening. So far she hasn't gone. I keep hoping and praying that she does.

I spoke with a nurse and she said to give him juice. I bought organic white grape fruit juice but he isn't having it. He makes a funny face. I tried to dilute it or serve it straight up and neither way worked. I'm hopin tomorrow is the big day.

Has he gone yet? Did he take some of the juice? What about temp? Does it maybe have to be room temp or cold or whatever?

How are all the non-pooping babies today? Kirsty is on day 4, which is very unusual for her. I think they've all had a meeting without us knowing

It sounds like a lot of our babies are not pooping like normal! He went a tiny bit last night after falling asleep. I'm hoping today is the big one. Daddy will be the one to get it! I tried giving him juice several times but he does not want anything to do with it. I need to get a rectal thermometer after work. I only have one that scans his temp.

Amara went this morning!! I had 5 diapers of poop!!!

I gave her the sugar-water mix the pedi suggested as well as a warm bath/massage. I had read to put the baby in water that was chest high and massage her tummy. Of course, that method said she would go almost immediately and in the water but that did not happen.

I went to change her around 7:15 this morning and she had a little streak in her diaper so I knew she was trying to get something out so I just held up her legs and pressed gently on the area behind her butt-hole (sorry). As soon as I did that, she start shooting out poop. When she would stop, I switched to another diaper and did the same thing. After 5 diapers, she seemed to have been done. It was soft but rather thick and a rich mustard color. Gross!!

I never thought I would be so happy to see poop!!!

Maybe I will try this out tonight when I get home from work. I never thought I would be so excited to see poop either. It's like every time he goes I know everything is working correctly.

OMG Ive been dealing with the same thing now for about 3 weeks!!!!!! Cambria has always pooped even multiple times a day. And all of a sudden. Nothing. She would go 3 days and then barley have any when she did poop. I had to take her to my Peid. She felt her butt and said that it was soft and probablly working on something. She also said sometimes when there teething a lot they can get backed up. Im thinking this is what it is since she's pretty much getting her top 4 at the same time. She told me to try some Pear juice, or Prune, or Prune- Apple juice. I gave her the Prune apple the next day and I was surprised she downed 2 Oz's of it. I didn't even dilute it. Well she had a big poop that night. But that was about 2 weeks ago. Now she has pooped her and there but now It's hard and very little. Ive even tryed giving her juice again but this time she wants nothing to do with it. Ive even tried diluting it and she wont take it. The doctor said I might have to try suppositories. Im really hoping she'll poop soon cause I dont want to try that! Im going to give her some juice when she wakes up.

I just wanted to jump in for a moment - Resi, Grapefruit juice is to bitter for babies. If you want to start on juice Id suggest Apple or pear. Apples with some children (like mine) give them diharrea, hope this helps!!

I didn't get grapefruit. I got white grape juice. It's really sweet. I sucked some out of his bottle to try it out.

It must be the day for our baby's to get their poop out! I called DH on my lunch break and he was just changing a big poop diaper. YAY!!
