Do you remember having back pain with your BHs?

I've never had the back pain before, but it's been constant with every contraction since early this afternoon. TONS of pelvic pressure and cramps. DH are still counting and looking for a pattern

I have no experience in this department, but I hope it is either a good sign your little guy is arriving or the pain stops!!

Could be early labour! Do you know how your baby is positioned?

Still very pregnant.

But I'm still having tons of BHs and pain. They calmed down SOME when I was sleeping, but a few were enough to wake me up. Because I had so many BHs before, my OB has told me not to go in unless there is a pattern. I just thinking this feels very different.

I'm hoping to clean alot and do some walking today. Obviously the contractions are worse when I move around, so maybe this will start something. Oh, and the baby is head down.

Oh this could def be it!!! I had lots of BH's with DS and now with this baby - but never pain during the contraction...I would def get that looked at....you can never be too cautious - babies can come very fast and you don't want to be like in the car or something....Keep us posted!

Stilling counting.....

I go from 10 minutes apart for an hr, to 8, then 16. But the back pain is still there. The pain starts in my upper belly, then my lower pelvic, then my back. I don't realize how bad it affects my back until the contraction is over, KWIM?

I KNOW my OB will tell me to wait for a pattern so I haven't gone in yet.

Mine felt like that the few days leading up to actually going into labor. I remember sitting in my car 2 days before I gave birth just in tears because the pain was so bad. I had to call my client and cancel our session for the day becaue I just couldn't cope. It's probably not too much longer now for you! I know how frustrating all these BH's are, especially the ones that can take your breath away, but they are for a good cause--usually it helps labor that much more when it really kicks in!

sounds like baby is in a posterior position (baby's back is on your spine). Try getting down on all fours and doing some stairs (or one leg up on the curb one down walking). If you have a birth ball get on it.....and google things to help baby turn. *rubs back*

That sounds like what started happening to me a few weeks before Elsa was born. It usually slowed down or went away after I took a bath. My real contractions were MUCH different, and had a definite pattern that didn't slow down no matter what I did. I also felt the BH in my back.
