My doctor wanted me to switch to a prescription prenatal multivitamin (I was taking One-A-Day Prenatal Multivitamins and DHA/EPA), so she prescribed Prenatal Plus, which is manufactured by Amneal (it is a yellowish oblong shaped tablet imprinted with a G12 on the front). I filled my prescription and it came with absolutely no supplement information! Sure, it listed warnings, interactions, blah blah blah - but I'd like to know how much of everything is in my vitamin, that way if it's a little low on anything I can make up for it in my diet. I don't even know if this particular one has iron or not (I'm assuming it does, but there are prescription prenatals without iron). I work in a health center, so I went to OUR pharmacy and asked if they could look it up. They did and there was NO available information, besides what I had already gotten! Even our pharmacist was shocked, since usually vitamins come with this information available to them in case the patient has any interactions with certain components... I googled it, but I can't find the supplement information. I even went directly to the Amneal web site and the section with product information is "under construction."

What now? There's an 800 number, should I call and see if they can mail me a copy of this information? Is there some other magical place I could be looking for it that I am unaware of? I'll probably just call, but I wanted to see if any of you knew something that I didn't.
