For anyone interested!
I cancelled that appointment I had with the new doctor, wedding planning is taking over my life and I honestly havent thought about TTC not even once since weve been engaged. So needless to say I dont think we will be TTC again until we are married! (which will be September 18) I dont know if I ever mentioned here, but we wont be getting married in Las Vegas like we wanted so it is a bit more stressful because Las Vegas was going to be simple and a little less expensive but were not doing that anymore! I am SO busy planning a wedding that is 5 months away, and not to mention my job. I have been SO busy, ive always handled all of the accounts receivable, but now im handling all accounts payable too which is stressful to say the least. This on top of all of my other job duties makes for a long, busy, stressful work week. A 40 hour work week isnt enough time to get all the things done I need to, so ive been working alot of overtime. Then doing all kinds of running around on nights and weekends for wedding stuff.
The wedding planning is stressful, but I will admit...its SO fun! Im seriously loving it! And I dont know if its just me, but no one mentioned how "differently" you feel after getting engaged. I dont know how to explain it, but its like this man loves me enough to make the commitment to be with me for the rest of his life and I just get so sappy thinking about it. Im a dork I know, but I feel like im in like a "honeymoon" phase or something. I cant get enough of my DF and im just so happy! Okay....enough of that, but did anyone else feel that way after you got engaged?
I bought my dress!!!!!!! It is gorgeous and I fell in love when I saw it, and kept going back to it, everyone kept telling me when you see it youll just know and I did! Here is a pic of the first time I tried it on (I look really really bad, please excuse my face! lol) I have my glasses on too.

Back- I love how it is cut at the top and drops down by the zipper
We booked our ceremony location, reception location, limo, photographer, & officiant so far. Jasons parents are paying for the entire reception, which is AWESOME! I made an appointment for my hair and also alterations for my dress really all thats left is small things. Ive been having a hard time finding a bridesmaid dress I really love but I think ive got one and were going to try them on this weekend. Our colors are hot pink and black with the damask print on a few things (like the favor boxes, guestbook and invitations) i love that print!
Oh and we really, really love the candy buffet idea. So we are going to have a table with all kinds of clear jars and scoops with all kinds of pink and white candies with a pink silk table cover and then everyone will fill their favor boxes with the candy that they want! Like this....but pink and white!
Well that is my update for now! Sorry it is all over the place! I cant wait for my wedding! If anyone has any cool ideas or suggestions please let me know! I love hearing about other peoples weddings and the things they did!

That sounds awesome!!!! I so wanted to go with hot pink for my wedding, but a) DH refused, and b) my sisters said they wouldn't be my bridesmaids if I went with it because they would not wear hot pink. I was peeved. I should've just told them fine and had different bridesmaids. But of course I caved...I hope you don't have to go through any drama like that!
Are you not doing Vegas anymore because of family? We were going to elope in Maui (where we went on our honeymoon), but our families were crushed and wanted to be able to attend... And part of me wanted the big traditional wedding. Thousands of dollars later...
It looks like you have a lot of the big things done already!! That's got to be such a relief! Good luck taking care of everything else!

Yea, mostly because of family the main thing was not even my own MOM could afford it so that was thrown out the window pretty quickly. We were going to pay for her, but then I would feel so bad not paying for anyone else! When I sat down and thought about it I felt really bad making them pay just to be at my wedding when they could be there for free here. And with the economy now and lots of family members jobs arent really stable at this point, it just wasnt the thing to do. But all in all im very happy I always wanted a Vegas wedding but then again I always wanted a really big traditional go ALL-out kind of wedding too, so im really happy!! Yea, the bridesmaids actually love the idea of hot pink! I may do the dresses black with hot pink roses though im still not sure on that, but im leaning more towards the hot pink dresses with white/hot pink roses. Im only gonna make the guys wear hot pink ties so that their not all freaked out about wearing pink! Because the vest AND tie pink is a little too much pink for them too handle! When I say hot pink people are probably thinking wow thats a little much, but we are going to make it really elegant (hopefully! I may go overboard with the hot pink because I just love it so much!)
Oh, im also gonna dye my shoes hot pink! I really wanted to do it but I was scared it would look bad but I saw Shannons hot pink shoes and now I have to do it!

I love love love the candy buffet. We were going to do one at our wedding as well, and I actually had most of the stuff bought for it like all the candy jars, ribbons, table cover, candles/holders, etc. Let me tell ya that rock candy is really an awesome decoration! I think I even still have some pics saved on PB of a lot of buffets...
Love that dress too!
Have fun planning!

omg that candy buffet is every kid's DREAM! That's a really neat idea, I've never heard of doing that.
Anywho, I was just about to post about how stressful wedding planning is! I'm in the same boat, so I know how you feel. I was going to tell you, we are planning a small wedding on a budget as well, and we have found that bed and breakfast inns seem to be a good route for that. Most of the ones I have looked into specialize in small, intimate weddings, and are really affordable! We were also looking at botanical gardens... very affordable and the decorations are built in. I don't know how much all of this helps you if you have already booked yours, but I just thought I would throw that out there just in case it might help.
We are supposed to get married in July and I haven't even booked a place yet! There's just so many options! I was just on the phone with about 20 different venues. We are going to go look at a bunch of them this weekend, and hopefully book one, since it is just three months away. Yikes!
And the dress... GORGEOUS! I love it. You're right about the back, how it dips in the zipper, very unique and flattering. I can't wait to do the dress shopping. That's after we book a venue. If you have any places or designers to recommend, that would be great. I haven't gotten too far into that part yet.
Hope all your planning goes smoothly!
ETA: I just noticed the detail on your veil. Very pretty!

I have NO advice on wedding dress shopping! I went and fell in love with my dress at the first place I went to! lol But I had been looking around forever and I went in there with the idea of exactly what I wanted and this dress was it plus some.
Yea, we were going to have a small intimate wedding (obviously since we were going to do it in Vegas) but that all changed when we decided to do it at home, now our guest list is at 249 people!!!!
