(yes its 4am--i'm jet lagged LOL)

So we found out yesterday we are heading to Garyville, LA (pretty much New Orleans!) but for longer than we though! We will leave about May 20th for there and stay till July 1st when we have to be back for baby's arrival (I can't fly past 36 weeks). Then wait till baby is here and then ok'd to fly and then back down there for a few more months to finish the job.....so looks like most of 2009 will be in that area. And so since it will be a long term job (more then 3 months) we get to get an apartment or condo and will most likely stay in New Orleans (have to look around some but thats were we are thinking).

Aimee----do you happen to know midwives in the area---I will need one for my 30/32/34 weeks check ups! Also a doctor for my newborn check ups post baby.

From researching for myself I have found a doula and midwife service Mothers Touch Doula - Childbirth Services & Breastfeeding Support

I really don't know much about either though..

For a doctor I would highly recommend going through Ochsner! Home | Ochsner Health System | New Orleans, LA
I have always seen an ochsner doctor and I plan to eventually deliver at one of the Ochsner hospitals.. You can research all the different doctors on their site! They have clinics and hospitals all over the new orleans area!

Let me know what areas of the city ya'll are looking into staying there are some areas that are a bit safer than others!

Well in the every changing world of my dh's job.....we just got moved till June 1st to go down there now. So...... Resi---looks like we may be taking a weekend trip to your neck of the woods to see some friends...so what you doing the weekend of the 9/10 or the following weekend of 16/17th...because one of them we should be near you! Or are you planning any chicago trips?! (i bet I could get Kyle to come also if you come here!).

Hawaii pictures will be up within the hour! And I'm sure I will get over to CA (we are there every couple years for something!). I'm just waiting so we can have a play date! Yeah thats it! *off to see how the hawaii pictures are loading up*
