Alright... we've got like 1,000 pics uploaded onto photobucket! I was kind of dreading making this post and trying to figure which pictures to share, etc.
So, the honeymoon was great! We were married Friday, then Saturday morning we drove down (5 hours) to my parent's condo in Gulf Shores. We left Monday and headed to Mobile (about 45 min away) where our cruise was leaving. We went on Carnival's Holiday - which is the oldest & smallest ship of their fleet, it's being 'retired' in November. A lot of people IRL was telling me about how dumpy this ship was, etc. which was kind of annoying. I had never been on a cruise so I figured I didn't have anything to compare it to and wasn't going to let it get me down. I thought it was a great vacation, especially for the price... but it was killing me not having internet access for like six days while everyone was tagging wedding pics on facecbook, etc. haha. I'm such a junkie!
Okay, Saturday... our first married day! We drove down to the condo... hung out, went and bought bathing suits, sunscreen and salt water taffy! haha. That day I wore a white dress with THE shoes... here's pics from Day 1:
In the car on the way to the beach...
Finally arriving @ the condo-
Pulling into the parking lot I saw a turtle trying to cross the road so I got out to help-
Then I was trying to get some full body shots of us on the balcony with more of my wedding shoes b/c I'm obsessed with them Unfortunately we didn't get any good beach shots in the back, haha.
and then the final pic of Day 1... getting my salt water taffy!

Day 2 was Sunday-- we woke up, went to the outlet mall that has lik every store -- couch, juicy, banana, gap, old navy and a billion others. Surprisingly, I didn't buy anything! :O Afterwards we went to Lambert's (Home of the Throwed Rolls) which is a really fun restaurant with my all time favorite southern food. It's the only place I ever get fried okra and it is FABULOUS. Then we played mini golf... came back and hung out on the beach. It was overcast and windy... since it's April the water still isn't warm enough for me to get in anyway. Plus the red flags were up. Hit up the hot tub and lounged around.
Day 2 pics-
We were behind this car when pulling into the outlet... not sure if they thought this through. Do you think it's Big Al or Bi Gal??
Lunch @ Lambert's:
Putt-Putt:
We saw this crane/bird thing... Ben decided it was a stork and means something
Day 3- Monday: we drove to Mobile where we could board the ship at 12, departing at four.
Before we left Mobile, with the city in the background:
Since I've never been on a cruise, my only experience is with the Titanic and all before the honeymoon I was telling Ben I was concerned of sinking... or him throwing me overboard. He asked why he would marry me if he planned on throwing me off the ship since it's not like I have $ or anything... and I reminded him that other brides have been thrown off! I paid extra attention during our drill... and afterwards we went to the bar and they said they wouldn't serve me with my life jacket & that I had to take it back to the room because it might cause other guests to panic.
I still cant fathom how a BOAT can be big enough to hold so much... I mean, a BUS... a bus?! COME ON!
We got down with some shuffleboard... I'm not sure if we were playing the right way, but by our rules -- I totally won.
Our first towel animal... a walrus (or a vagina, I couldn't tell... it had eyes, which makes me think walrus?)
There was a big awesome deco light in our room. When Ben was in the bathroom I got like this... and he didn't get it. I had him take the pic and then he got it... but I thought it was pretty hilarious.
We played bingo once... I didn't win... we didn't play again. haha

Okay honeymoon day 4 - Tuesday... day at sea:

Ahh yes... Twilight time... loves it!
Ben (DH!) with our Just Married tote... that thing came in handy. He didn't bring sunglasses though, so at one point I convinced him to wear my big gray ones... and then walked off towards new lounge chairs and left poor Ben walking alone with his big fem girlies glasses and the Just Married tote. haha
We didn't get any pics of either of us coming down the slide, but it was fun!
That night was the formal night... and we took a bunch of the cheesey cruise photos but didn't buy any b/c they were like $22 and not that good. We tried to get some with our camera but I wasn't that happy with any of them. The dress I wore I bought a couple months ago b/c I loved it... even though I didn't know when I'd need something so formal. I only paid $8 for it!!!!! And of course, it gave me another reason to wear THE shoes!
Back in the room with the camera on the timer we tried to get some shots... but there was nothing high enough to set the camera on... this one was pretty good though
Then that night's towel animal was an elephant:
Day 5 - Cozumel!
I had been on a cruise forum doing research and was told about a free beach -- Paradise Beach -- it was a $12 cab ride, with free entry, you just had to buy $10 in food or drinks. They had the lounge chairs with umbrellas, they waited on you at your chair... and had lots of fun toys (3 trampolines, lots of floats, kayakas, snorkeling stuff, climb-y things, an inflatable slide, etc.) to play with. There was clean bathrooms, a little shop, a laptop for 15 minutes of FREE internet! (I checked our photog's webssite! ) and lots of other cute stuff. So we spent the day hanging out on the beach. I spend a good portion of my childhood at my dad's place outside of Puerta Vallarta so all the little shops etc. don't really have any novelty for me. We looked through a few when we went back to the Port though.
Ben swimming out towards some of the play things-
The water was crystal clear everywhere, but way out there was this strip of like NEON blue it was so clear and bright... hard to capture with the zoom all the way out. It was hard to believe IRL, so pictures could never do it justice unless you've seen it:
The top of the menu, haha.

The parrots, chillin'
I took a nap in the hammock while Ben snorkled. I don't like thinking there are fish in the ocean, I'm definitely not going to go hunting them down.
and finished off the day with some more reading-

Day 6 - Calica:
I was told by a co-worker that this place was a 'dump' and to not even get off the ship. I don't know if he went there before the hurricane hit and they rebuilt things or what but we both LOVED Calica... even more than Cozumel! When we got to the port though, all we saw were crappy trees and industrial stuff... Ben even suggested not bothering. We got off anyway, with nothing planned, and asked if the downtown area was anywhere near a free beach. It was like, a big strip of downtown and the next block over was the beach... with a $7 cab fare to get there so it was PERFECT! The shops were great... there were tons of American things --- starbucks, Mcdonald's, Burger King, etc. haha. We walked around down town and then hit up a beach where the water and sand was much nicer than Cozumel, but I liked all the 'extras' the other one offered. Either way, it was great!
Getting off the boat:
GORGEOUSSSSSS
I got sucked into filling out a questionarre, haha
JOY!
Found this in one of the shops... didn't realize my face was in it. I don't think I'll ever pass an apple again without doing this
We got fajitas at Carlos & Charlie's for the full tourest experience. They weren't that memorable. haha

They brought these 'on the house' after our meal, but since Ben doesn't drink I had to suck one up for the team and toss 'em back.
Day 7 - Day @ Sea
We played some mini golf on the ship... I won!
and then lots of more of the same... hanging out by the pools reading and playing cards in the casino, etc. etc. etc.
We watched parts of Cheaper by the Dozen 2 in our room when I realized Jacob was one of the billion kids!
Saturday morning we got back and drove home and finally got to see our puppies and open wedding gifts. It was a great vacation!

Hey thanks! haha... that makes me feel good!
and we're doing a weird combo of Calender method/NTNP this cycle. Ben was ALL ABOUT a honeymoon baby... and me... not so much. So according to when I was actively temping, FF says my average O day is CD18. The wedding night was CD 8 and I told him he could just 'go for it.' and we should be fine. That continued until CD13. The last time we dtd was CD15 & I told him we were playing russian roulette here so he pulled out. I went back to charting this cycle... BUT, my phone couldn't be on on the cruise and there was no friggin' alarm clocks... so I missed that whole IMPORTANT block of stupid days. According to FF I've O'd as early as CD 13 and as late as CD22. So, we'll see. I suppose there is some kind of chance for a honeymoon baby but at this point I'm pretty doubtful.

I felt like I was there with you (then reality hit when I realise it's 6:50am and Kirsty shouted me to get up at 5:30, I got up and got washed/dressed before I went into the nursery to get her... she went back to sleep naughty wee girl )
Oooooooooh honeymoon babba!!!!!!!!!!!
