Oh I LOVE looking at your pics I have always wanted little boys and I can not wait for my boys to start playing and interacting together. Your little men are totally adorable!
I also love hearing about how different they are in personalities (one in the sand one in the water). I see differences in Curtis and Dustin and it honestly just amazes me that I can make such different little boys.
How perfect

I love the last one! It looks like they had a nice time. Do they always share well or do they get into fights sometimes?

You know its funny but when we found out Lochlann was a boy I wondered how in the world Ian and I could produce another little boy and he not be just like Liam. I couldn't fathom having a boy be different than him. I guess that's because all I knew was Liam. Its really great because they share a lot of the same interests and being only a year and a half apart they can do a lot of the same things, especially now. They do have big differences in personality though. Liam is more reserved and quiet and very cautious. Lochy is loud, rough and tumble, and has no sense of caution at all. They play well for the most part and Liam is really great about sharing (still working on Loch) but they do have their fights. I think its more their similarities rather than their differences that cause the fights though. All in all, I couldn't imagine having two more cuddly, sweet, special little guys! And my heart just melts when they hug each other and say "I love you." Liam refers to Loch as his "favorite baby brother" and Loch calls Liam "my Lee". They just fill me with so much love!

Jenn, when I was given Dustin the first time in my hands... and they said he was a boy, I remember looking at him and not really knowing him/recognizing him because he didn't look like Curtis... I feel really ashamed and embarrassed to say that... but I just couldn't comprehend making two different looking boys... it's hard to explain.

No, I understand what you mean. Even though Liam and Loch looked alike as newborns as they grow they look less and less alike. Now while I do think they look like brothers I don't think they look alike at all. It's still bizarre to me to see that these little boys are both mine when they don't look alike. I really wanted another boy when I was pregnant with Loch and when we found out that's what he was halfway through I was over the moon! But I had a lot of doubts too. I didn't know how I could possibly love anyone as much as I love Liam. I was afraid I'd play favorites (it was done to me growing up and I know how much it sucks). And I was afraid I wouldn't recognize Loch as "mine" if he didn't look like Liam. It's hard to explain but because of Liam I had a concrete picture of what "our" little boy looks like and I couldn't imagine having another little boy look differently. I was afraid I'd feel disconnected because Loch was someone else and not Liam and I didn't know how to be a mother to anyone else. I don't think I'm explaining myself well here. Of course I love them both, more than anything (and have from the moment I found out I was pregnant), but I had a hard time after Loch was born because Liam had a couple hard times adjusting--he would try and pull Loch off my lap while I was nursing and say "No, my Mommy." I would just cry, thinking what did I do to my little boy. I completely messed up his little world and I felt horrible for that. Add to that my guilt that the pregnancy being the reason why he weaned from nursing too and I really felt like I had short changed him. Of course a lot of that was probably hormones too. Looking back though I wouldn't do anything differently. Having the two boys when we did has been wonderful and they really are such good friends. After a couple months Liam was delighted with his baby brother and I'm so glad Ian and I could give him that gift!
Now he's DESPERATE for a baby sister and tells me so a lot! No pressure right? LOL

That would be so very hard, with him saying "My Mommy". I thought of it the same way (I still do) about giving Curtis a wonderful gift of a brother. They may fight and not get along.. but I know they will have life changing experiences, and great memories.
The first couple nights was tough. Curtis has and still does get up in the middle of the night. He always needed cuddles to be put back to sleep. He came in and I was nursing Dustin. He just cried. He was so very upset and even Daddy couldn't help because I ALWAYS do the night time stuff. I learned quickly how to hold two.. one nursing and one cuddling haha. Now he just climbs right into bed beside me and goes/stays asleep! He finds comfort being beside me... I feel bad at times but I know this is a good thing. I know I'm doing the very best I can to be there for both my boys. Watching them interact, Curtis playing with Dustin.. it just makes it ALL worth while and I KNOW that Curtis thinks the same way It just seems better with two.. how that's possible I don't know.. but I just LOVE my boys!
That's so adorable that he wants a baby sister I wonder what he would think of another brother? Will he keep asking for a sister?? hehehe!
I've totally hijacked your thread! Sorry! haha
