If you had the choice... what characteristic do you possess that you would like to have passed on to your DCs? What do you hope they don't get?

Same goes for SO... what do you hope your children get from him & what do you hope they don't get from him?

This could be either personality or physical characteristics.

EDITED: Oops, I meant to post this on the main board... but oh well. I'll leave it here and just x-post it there. haha

Adriana already has my DH and I personalities. My husband and I are vary laid back, we hardly ever get mad or yell.. We are vary easy going. . Adriana has been a easy going baby since birth and she still has the same personality today.. I do pray my new baby is the same way, but something tells me he/she is going to be the opposite.. I also hope this baby doesn't inherit my big headed gene.. lol I get this from my dad who is German.. Yeap, believe it or not, my dad is full blooded German (He was adopted in Germany) and he has a big head.. lol I was blessed that Adriana has a nice small head and she had a nice small head when she was born. She gets this from my DH side of the family. lol. I do hope this baby has my eye color.. Don't get me wrong, I love Adriana's dark brown eyes, they are vary pretty and unique. I get comments on Adriana all the time from strangers, but I want my next child to have my light brown eyes.. My eyes are inbetween hazel and brown.. Sometimes you can see green in my eyes.. Oh, there's so much I could wish my next baby would look like.. But in the end, I'm going to be surprised. Will he/she have light brown hair, dark hair, or maybe even red hair (my 1/2 sister has dark red hair so I carry the gene ).. I can only imagine..

What I do know is my kids are going to be computer geeks, gamers, and car junkies.. They will learn this from my DH who is a computer geek (this is his job lol), gamer, and a car junkie.. lol

My traits ive passed on to Ian is my looks, he looks nothing like hubby Hubby gave him a sense of weirdness, I kid you not - that child didnt get it from me!!! He also sleeps like a rock, he got that from hubby. He really is his own personality - I see alot of DH and I both in him. Hes just a little monster.

My traits Ive passed to Morgan would be my lovely sense of the paranormal. She can see them and Im more than sure she can hear them...fun...She is very stubborn, independent and too busy for anyone to stop her (she gets that from my side of the family) She loves to play on her own, or with her brother - but dont get her mad she will flip a lid (once again thats my side) With the paranormal, it runs in the girls in the family. Mainly me, my mother, my deseased grandma (whom i believe is my spirit guide) and my daughter.

Ok anyways, both kids are so much like hubby and I - but Ian is more like jay, but looks like me - and Morgan looks like hubby, but acts like me LOL

I used to say I wanted Amara to have my eyes, and his mouth. She has my mouth and his beady eyes but my eye color.

As for traits, I hope she's a "go-getter" like I am and also not selfish. I talk too much (lol) so maybe she'll be a bit quieter like my DH. We're both good with managing money so I'd like to pass that on as well as the need to value and be thankful for what you have. I hope to pass on my strong faith in God and respect for everyone regardless of religion, class, nationality, ethnicity, etc. I do hope she will also get my sense of humor and not take things too literally (DH takes things too literally sometimes). Hopefully she will like surprises. I don't. It would be great if I could pass on my love for music and perhaps she will play a musical instrument like I did. I don't mean to be vain here but I think that DH and I are both smart and hopefully she will be too.

I hope they get my blue eyes and DF's gorgeous lips. I also hope the girls get my thin build and the boys get DF's linebacker build.

I hope they don't get my ghost white skin (unlikely since DF is black) and DF's big head! In fact, if I prayed, I would pray that they don't get his big head. I can just imagine how much that would hurt coming out.

As for traits, I hope they are just like their daddy!

I REALLY HOPE it gets my ears! Troy has the ears that totally connect to his face-no lobes! Most of his family is that way. I always joke if its a girl and has his ears we may have to snip them! (LOL I WOULDN'T but we joke about it!).

I hope they get my love of adventure and compassion for people but Troy's intelligence and sports skills.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one worried about head size.. lol But your baby is going to be so gorgeous! Mixed babies make the most beautiful babies..
