Kieran was pooping fine normal yellowy mustardy breastfed poo's till the Saturday before last. Then Sunday had a really bad poo, dark brown and tons filled the diaper, most likely from the formula we'd given her on friday (she had a total of 1.5oz but spilled half of it while drinking from the cup).

She had one poo yesterday night, it was an orangy yellow, not the normal breastfed looking poo. Then today she had a huge one, I herd it in the kitchen from the living room (about 10ft away or so). Then just about 5minutes ago she pooed while I was nursing her, changed her and not even a minute later she did again. Again very orangy yellow and they are very super smelly.

She's had a cold, we all did, she still has a rough cough, she feels warm but when I check her temp in her arm pit it says 98.1-98.2 every time.

hmmm the yellow mustard colour poo is normal for BF baby. I'm not too sure how much is too much. Kirsty was doing 2 per day around Keiran's age. And I could (still do!!) hear it a mile away

With having a cold and getting a little formula, it's difficult to say what may have been the main cause - possibly both have influenced her toilet. As long as she is still feeding plenty so she doesn't get dehydrated - I'd give it another day or 2 them possibly call my doc for advice if it continues... or call if it gets worse and she isn't feeding.

The mustard color seems about normal for baby poop. And I'm suspecting the darker color was from the formula. Amara was like a duck the first few weeks, every time she fed, she pooped and sometimes the poops were very loud!! Her farting too, very loud. I used to be shocked!

If you have another thermometer you could try to use it and see if the temp changes or check the temp on different places of her body (underarm, butt...) to see if it varies.

If you're still worried especially if she fees warmer than usual check in with her pedi!

I believe you are supposed to add 1 degree to the armpit temperature because axillary temps are not always accurate. Can you try her temp elsewhere?

Loch would get orangy-yellow colored poops much more often than the mustard color. And my God could that kid poop! Because of all the poop issues we had with Liam I was not used to a baby pooping much at all. But that kid pooped after (or during) every single nursing for the entire time he was EBF. It was ridiculous the amout of poop that came out of him! And it was very loud--I could hear it from another room. Liam was always loud too as an infant. I kind of liked the loud factor because then I knew when he pooped and I could change him right away!

I also have heard that you're supposed to add a degree to under the arm. I know its not pleasant but could you take her temp in her butt?--that should give you the most accurate reading.
