Hello girls....I haven't given an update in a while so here goes:
I had an u/s at the specialists office on Tuesday (I have one every 2 to 4 weeks now to check on her growth, my fluid, etc. etc.). At my previous u/s baby was measuring big like 80th% and they were cautious about the "big diabetes baby" thing. My blood sugars are pretty good but weekly they change my insulin dose to get things better - especially my fastings...I CANNOT get them below 100 no matter what I do......they keep uping the amount of long acting insulin I take before bed but it doesn't change my numbers at all.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. So anyway at this u/s she was more normal size 40th% and my fluid was perfect. I was so happy about that. I had excess fluid with DS and that was another cause for concern that some far we don't have to deal with. She is head down and very active. So they decided to start my non-stress tests next week (or the next....? sometime soon I have so many dang appts I can't keep track). I'm now seeing my regular OB's office every 2 weeks because of my many high-risk obstacles....but that's makes me feel better knowing how quickly we can go from everything is okay to let's get this baby out. My blood pressures are still very good so that is good too.
I'm kind of ticked because I wanted to take a "refresher" birthing course at the OB's office but three of the instructors are on maternity leave and they are not doing it right now.....so I'm at least trying to get a tour of the hospital (cause I didn't deliver DS in the state I live in now) and I cannot get anyone to call me back....since I"m not in one of the birthing classes its been a bear to try to hook up with someone to get in on a tour. I'm starting to get really annoyed over it.
But onto a better note - my baby "sprinkle" is this weekend and I am totally pumped. Plus we got all our computer stuff moved upstairs and the baby's room totally painted and her bookshelf ordered so as soon as it comes and DH puts it together we can put the nursery together. I'm hoping that my mom and Dad have gotten me the lamp shade and valance that match my bedding for a shower gift cause that will really complete the look in the nursery!
Well that is all for now. Tonight I hope to post pics of the nursery progress as well as DS's curious george birthday party he had last Saturday that was totally fabulous!

But, when they measured Adriana they said she was going to be a big baby.. But she was only 6 lbs 15 oz's and she was born 39 weeks and 2 days0.. Far from a big baby and she's still petite to this day.. So don't stress about it to much.. As for your FBS.. I had a heck of a time keeping my numbers below 90 with Adriana.. Do they have you on NPH at night? I had to go on a aggressive sliding scale to keep my numbers below 90.. I was uping my dose 3 units almost every other day.. It was crazy but it stayed under 90.. I'm also having FBS problems with this baby.. I'm already on 16 units at night and my numbers have been ranging at 90, so I'll have to up it again.. :/ I can relate on how you feel.. Have you talked to your dietitian about this? It is possible to get your numbers below 90.. Ask if you can go on a sliding scale for your FBS. I would hound your Endo/dietician until you get those numbers where they need to be. . That's what I did.. hehe.
