So, we're supposed to be going on a vacation SOMEWHERE a week from tomorrow, and we can't decide where to go! We were planning to go to San Antonio, but found out that Sea World isn't even gonna be opened when we'll be there, and that's the main reason we were gonna go there, so now that's out. We're thinking about Hot Springs, Ar. since it's only about 5 hours to there as well, but we've been reading that the crime rate has gotten pretty bad there lately. So, now I don't know where else we can go. I'd enjoy going back to Galveston since we went there on our honeymoon, but I don't know if everything is back to normal after Hurricane Ike. We have to go somewhere fairly cheap and it has to be within driving distance. Probably no more than 8 hours because we plan on leaving Monday morning and coming back on Thursday, so we don't want to be driving for a really long time and not have time to do anything. It's really frustrating me that we can't agree on where to go. Anyone have any ideas? Or like looking for vacation spots. I'm not very good at wording things right on Google, so I never can find what I want really. lol Help me!

What kind of activities are you looking for?
I think a lot of stuff is opened back up in Galveston, but not 100% sure on that.
San Antonio still has the riverwalk, Alamo, zoo, Fiesta TX.
If you like outdoorsy things, I love the San Marcos/New Braunfels area. That has some caves to explore, Schlitterbahn (LOVE that place), tubing on the river. Austin is also fun, more restaurants/night life there.
Fredericksberg has a nice downtown/antique shopping and is right by Enchanted Rock.
Dh and I really would like to go somewhere in AR, but never have so I don't really know about that.
