I know some of you probably don't agree that people should own guns, but I'm excited about this so I wanted to share. We believe in owning guns for home defense. Chris and his dad both just recently purchased guns. Well, Saturday, they went to the gun show while I was at work. When they got home, they surprised me with my own gun...and it's HOT PINK and black!!! It's very pretty! I love it! It's a .22, so it's not too powerful, but it will definitely stop someone if needed. We plan on going to the shooting range to practice using them. Anyways. Just wanted to show ya'll a picture of it!

Beautiful!! Owning a gun is your right and you have the right to defend your family.. 
BTW.. It looks like your safety is off!! lol j/k..
I don't own a gun, yet.. But I shot alot of guns when I was in the Navy stationed with the Marines. It was not by choice either.. lol. I'm even certified to teach people how to shot a M240 Golf machine gun. lol vary scary!! hehe

It's cool.. That's just one thing I noticed right away. But it's a good habit to keep that in the Safety on position, even when it's not loaded. This is something the Marines instilled in me..  Oh, I'm going to show my DH your gun and ask if I can have one too..

OMG they make a hot pink gun! If ever I own a gun, it will be a hot pink gun!! Oh I'm so giddy now. lol. Not that I think I could actually ever shoot anything alive with it, but I'd like to take out some nasty aluminum cans!

LOVE the pink and black! And it's a Sig, those are awesome guns. I've never shot the Mosquito before, but I've heard good things about them. Lee's personal carry is a Sig P229 (.45) and my personal carry is a Springfield EMP (9 mm). I also have a sweet lil .22 for target practice that shoots like pulling a knife through warm butter, it's super-fun to shoot!

Just seeing a handgun in person scares me, but I too agree that it is your RIGHT, and I really would like to have one in our house for protection. I grew up around shotguns because my dad was a hunter. Shotguns don't scare me to look at like handguns do.
I didn't even know that they made pink guns  Aren't they expensive? Do you know how much they paid for it?

You can get a Sig Mosquito (Chelle's gun) for between $250 and $300. Good luck in Cali, though, I hear it's dang near impossible to get a permit.

With our history of severe depression in our house, we agreed to no guns. Mike's are in his Dad's locked guns case. But if I had a gun, I'd want that one.
