Aw, shucks! I feel so loved.
I can't believe I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow!! My no news is good news - I've been feeling nauseous, fatigued and generally pregnant over the past week. My next ultrasound isn't until May 20 so I'm counting down the days. It sucks in between as most of you are aware, because I can say "Well as of last Monday we had a heartbeat" and it psychs me out a little, but overall I'm pretty laid back about it.
We just got a referral to a perinatologist at the practice where we'll be doing CVS in a couple of weeks. We did decide to do CVS over amniocentesis. We are mainly looking for this specific balanced translocation and are not as concerned with other chromosomal abnormalities like Down's because we're not at an elevated risk for those. The CVS has had a higher m/c rate in the past but new research is showing that when done by a highly experienced/skilled doctor, it has the same m/c risk as amnio. And it will be done 4 weeks sooner so if we did have to terminate an unbalanced fetus, the termination procedure would be less risky.
I try not to think about it too much and focus on the fact that with CVS and a genetic scan, we're going to know the sex of this baby by 13 weeks!

It truly makes me smile that there is someone else counting down the same days as me. I can't believe that it will be 10 weeks tomorrow (for the both of us!) and my next U/S is also on 5/20 (2 weeks from today!). I will not be finding out the gender in 3 weeks though, it will be more like 30.
Every day further is a day to celebrate in my book!

I'm so glad you and the little bean are doing well. I felt so accomplished getting to 10 weeks, just because it was in the double digits! Be sure to take good care of yourself, mamma!

Glad to hear the 'no news.' Sounds like you are doing well. Have you told family/friends yet?

I called my mom and dad the day of the ultrasound and told them. I had been avoiding my mom for 3 weeks because I didn't want to put her through the agony of knowing/waiting, so I needed to tell her why!
Last weekend, we told Eric's mom, stepdad and brother.
I have also told my 2 best friends IRL (the one who has a baby and the one who is pregnant). And one coworker who is pregnant.
On Mother's Day, I am going to tell all 3 of my siblings, so that's the next step.
