We are getting our e-pics taken this weekend. They are going to be in the park where we got engaged. I am SOO stressing over what to wear. I wear leggings and a tunic and like flats alot, and there is a cute one that I want. BUT my question is, is this outfit to much of a current trend to wear for our e-pics? What I mean is should I not wear something like that because 20 years down the road I will hate the pics because ill be saying "Look at that horrible outfit!" (Because we all know how quickly whats "in style" changes) So should I just wear jeans and a cute top? Jason is wearing khakis or jeans and a cute button up shirt.

I know!!!! I dont know what to do! Its a really cute outfit right now...but its not like a "classic" outfit like jeans and a shirt that can never really look bad even 20 years from now.

How about a casual day dress. Nothing too fancy, but a great cut and fit that will be flattering.

I wore a nice sweater & jeans with heels (I did take my pics in the winter though) Dh wore a button down shirt, jeans, & dress shoes.. A nice shirt and jeans would be nice or a cute sun dress!

Years down the road, it'd be retro and you'll look like a groovy chick!! Plus you could always counter that it was cool back then!

Personally, I would do the jeans or something more "classic" as you suggested. I think that seeing you're thinking that it may not too "groovy" down the road that you may be subconsciously wanting to go the other route. IDK?!

I guess I think opposite! I would want to look back in ten years and see me looking IN STYLE and HOT

I say wear what you think looks great now

I wore a sweater and jeans. We went with classic stuff that will age well.

I don't see why you would want to dress up any differently then you do now, normally. I mean your engagement photos should show you how you are when you met, have memories to them, ya know??

I agree that you should wear what is in style now. Why be boring with a classic look? I love seeing phots with the 70's style and whatnot from my parents. Pics that show the times you live in now are cool!

That said, I had boring classic pics b/c I am not that stylish

I have an easy solution for you......

Change outfits in the middle of the shoot! I'm not even kidding. The photog won't mind. Wear your tunic with leggings but also bring an outfit of nice jeans and a classic top.

I agree that you should do both. For mine, we had planned on shooting in the fall and I wanted to wear nice dark denim straight leg jeans with aa good fitting solid color tee and then flip flops. Something pretty casual and classic. It got pushed back to December and was 40 degrees when we shot which is how I wound up with the sweater I did (my last siggy) -- I actually had brought like a dress/tunic and leggings with flats... but it was too cold for me to want to change. I had the same feelings -- go classic so it doesn't look too dated. On the one hand, it'll be cool again in like 20 years when your kids look back on them... on the other, if it annoys you in 5 years you aren't gonna want the pics framed in your house. So if I were you I'd bring a few outfits to change. Plus whenever I do a shoot or something for Ben, there's always an outfit or a 'scene/area' where I just don't like that entire bunch of photos. An hour will be a lot of time for shooting, so you'll have plenty of time to change.

Show us pics of what you get!
