Does anyone know it JM is trying to fix the double, sometimes, triple posting issue?
I haven't had the double posting is separate replies today but I've had to edit almost all my replies because my messages kept doubling up. I used to think that it only happened when I used the emoticons but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm trying to be tolerant but it's been really ticking me off today. Is it just me? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Sorry for the vent, I needed to get that out.

I've never had a problem with double or triple posts. I've only had it happen to me maybe 2 times since I've been on JM. When you reply to messages, do you click on the submit reply button more than once? If you do, I think that might be why it double and triple posts. The 2 times I had it happen, that's what I did because it was going slow and I thought it wasn't working. I don't know.

Not double clicking. I made sure I checked that I wasn't doing that. When the changeover first happened, it was timing out and when I refreshed it would double post. That has stopped but now it's just double/triple posting and I'm not sure what it is. It used to happen more when I use emoticons so I thought that was the reason but it's not that either. It's just been happening for too long now and I see some others clearing posts to say double/triple posts as well. I just hope they get it sorted out soon.

The new board sucks. I hate how you have to be logged in to see the drop down menu for the different forums at the bottom of the page (the forum jump). And it is wayyy down there now too. I don't like it b/c I don't always have time to log in b/c I have to friggin type out "death to capybara" everytime. I get carpal tunnel by then!
And ditto on the double/triple posts.
And I do NOT like the mouse scroll over pre-view. It gets in my way. Wah I hate change!

I don't have the issue of double or triple-posting but it's super-annoying to read all of those double and triple posts! I have NO idea why it does it for some people and not others.

I get the doubling in the same posts a lot too. It is frustrating. At first I didn't edit but then I started cos it made it look like I had a HUGE post and I thought it would put folk off reading

I only had double posts in the begining. I figured out how to stop them. When you click the reply button, sometimes it doesn't pop up with your response and it looks like it didn't work. Instead of clicking the reply button again, copy your response and then press refresh. Usually my response is there and if it is not, I have my response copied and can try again. Since starting this, I have not had one double post.

I did what you did too Alice and it stopped posting additional separate posts but now even when I just click once, my response comes back and it's doubled or tripled in the same post.
I've been trying every thing to see if I was at fault or could find a workaround. I even changed browsers between Internet Explorer and Firefox but NADA!
It just got to me this morning after I had to edit almost all the posts I replied to and that was just on 1 board. There are 3 boards I posts on frequently so not cool at all.
ETA: And as irony would have it, I have not double posted since creating this post!

It's ok Marie, it double posts me too and I never hit reply more then once. Maybe it just doesn't like brown people. KIDDING! Remember when Kanye Wets said that about President Bush? LMAO

Yeah, what Alice said is what I was talking about, but if you don't do that, then I don't know why it does it! Usually if it acts like it's not working, I do exactly what she said and copy what I wrote, then refresh the post, and it's there.

I just saay screw it and leave it as a double post unless I typed something long. If you put two something longs together I assume people will get lazy and not read it. haha... then i'll edit. same thing if it posts pictures twicce. ANNOYING!

I stopped editing...but I know they are working on it. I don't like the new board much because of my issues with seeing what I have read already or not.
