So since this is sorta ttc related i thought i'd post it over here.
My acupuncturist gave me some OPK strips and since i was on CD13 I took the first one yesterday. She told me to take 1 test 5 days in a row, and since i ovulate late i started taking them a few days after the instructions said. It was negative, but still sort of exciting to me lol the pic is taken with my phone so its kinda blurry - sorry!

Haha, I understand your excitment. Every little step closer makes it more real. Makes you want it more. Those little cheapy strips are actually the best kind. I've had all sorts of issues with expensive brands.
Maybe we can get you an oops?

Yippee for peeing on sticks! How exciting! Are you actually trying - or are you doing OPK'a as a way to prevent pregnancy? Do you like accupuncture? I think its cute your accupuncturists gave you OPK's!!!!

The test line needs to be WAY darker than the control line. a faint line will always show up.

Yay for peeing on things!
With an OPK, it is considered "positive" when the test line is AS DARK or DARKER than the control line. There will almost always be a 2nd line, but it darkens as your LH (ovulation hormone) surges.

How exciting..
But don't just rely on them alone.. I did a OPK test in January for 16 days in a row and never got a LH surge during my supposed ovulation time.. I swear I didn't ovulate that month, but I still managed to get pregnant.. lol
