We're getting the boys new beds and I'm torn as to what to get them. I can't seem to decide between these two. And Ian is no help, he just says to get whatever I want.

This one:
Camden Youth

Or this one:
JCPenney : Tristan Kids Bedroom Furniture

It would be just the bed at this point (no trundle). I thought the first one would be easiest to match other bedroom furniture too since its paint and not a stain. But I don't know what the bed is made of (I have an email asking them but haven't gotten a response yet). I thought the first would be easier to touch up to if/when they get nicked and whatnot. But I really like the second one too. Ugh! I'm torn!

I'm also having a very hard time finding boy bedding for a twin bed that isn't either sports themed or very "little boy." I want something that will grow with them but everything I see that I love is waaayyyyy too expensive. Any suggestions are very welcome!

I love the second one, but the way you would be able to do touch ups and all that with the first... that's handy!!!

I hate when James says "pick whatever you want" Lol. I would love his oppinion, especially since when it's unpacked, paid for, set up, etc etc... then I get his real thoughts. I always tell him to shove it, he had his chance. Okay that was a vent! hahahaha.

Oh and I found these, but I don't know if you consider them little boy??

Oh I love that green bedding!

I am not fond of the feet on the first one, but I like the style of it. I like the future option of a trundle, so I say the second one. I would think you could touch it up with more stain or a touch up pen if the second one got nicked. Never tried it myself though.

I'm with Resi... I prefer the second one as well looks-wise... but the fact that you can touch up the black one would come in handy!

Go with the one with storage...Harrison's new bed has the storage underneath and I LOVE it. I like the bedding that Steph found as well!

You could always go with plain bedding (like navy) and dress it up with decorative pillows of their choice and as they grow the pillows will go from little boy to big boy!

Thanks everyone! I am going to go with the second one. Sitting here staring at the pictures I don't think I want them to have black furniture...seems kinda depressing for little kids.

I love that bedding Steph! Thanks! I especially like the first one! Chances are even though I want them to have bedding to grow with it won't work out that way. They'll probably get new bedding when they get older anyway. Maybe I'll just take them to the store and let them pick what they want. I just hope we don't end up with something really off the wall!

I like both so I can't be of help. But the extra storage might help in the future! I know what you mean about the bedding's. Why can't they make nice stuff thats not to cartoon'y or babyish?

I do like both, but I prefer the Camden one. That's the one I would get for sure!

Definitely go for the 2nd one. Your kids will end up getting hurt on the corners of the first one. Can you tell I'm a mom of boys?

I'm glad you went with the second, I definitely see the trundle coming in handy.

Yeah, the corners were a big strike. My in laws have a ton of mission style furniture and they're always getting hurt on the corners. So am I actually.

We have underbed drawers already anyway so the storage thing wouldn't be a big deal but I do like how the drawer would actually "go" with the bed.

Plus I still don't know what the first bed is made out of. The price is great and I like the way it looks but if its made of mdf or something its not worth it. I want them to have a real bed, not something Ian could whip up in the garage.

So second one it is! Thanks for all your help!

Looks like you already picked, but I liked the 2nd one better anyhow! Eventhough the black one can be touched up, it would show every little nick and scratch. Since the 2nd one shows the natural wood grain and is more natural tones, it looks like it would hide marks pretty easily.
