A little background first....Our neighbors moved in about 6-7 months ago. It is a bunch of young guys in their 20s. You get to their house by going down a little alley that is beside our house. We have a back house that is really old and needs to be torn down as well. You can't see their house from ours. We've been suspicious of them selling drugs or something because there are constantly cars going down the alley really late at night. They go to their house for maybe 5 minutes and come right back out. Sometimes as many as 6 cars in a row! And they fly down the alley going about 40-50mph! And it's just a little dirt alley, so they shouldn't be going more that 15-20mph at the most! Back to the story though...this morning I woke up, and saw a black SUV parked in the yard of the back house. I was like ***?! It's been raining, so I was sure there was gonna be ruts in the grass when they leave. It pissed me off seeing the SUV back there, so I wake up Chris and tell him to come look at what the a-holes did! I decided to go investigate and see if there were any ruts, and I notice that the whole front of the SUV is smashed in! So, I go get Chris and we go out to see if they hit something, and sure enough, they hit the tree that is right beside the back house! They are really lucky that tree was there because they would have smashed into the house if it wouldn't have been there! We don't know if anyone got hurt but they left a note on the window of the SUV saying they would tow it by Monday morning. I'm assuming they were drunk or something because otherwise, police would have been at our house after it happened and the SUV would have already been gone. I hope no one was hurt, but maybe this taught them a lesson about flying down the alley!

i marked out the note and license plate on the last one where it looks like holes in the windows.

I agree, I would call the cops too, I'd say it looks like someone crashed, I'm really concerned, lol. I think they were probably drunk too, which is why they didn't go to the hospital, or call the cops. We've had college kids try to do that by our house A LOT. We have a bad turn, and a lot of drunk people overshoot the turn, or they're just speeding, and end up in the pond or into the tree by the pond, and then they'll try to park the car and run, or just drive off, so we usually take a picture and get the license. I'm always thinking, what if they crashed into our lawn and Elsa was out there, or our next door neighbor was getting the mail? They should face the consequences.

WOW. I hate that you have sketchy neighbors like that... that really sucks cause you can't jsut get rid of them! I wouldn't call the cops b/c if they're sketchy you dont' really want to go starting stuff either since they basically endanger you by flying down your property to get to theirs. Ugh... crappy situation. That car is MESSED UP. They had to be going like 50 to do that much damage! You didn't hear it happen? I thought those were holes in the windows where you blacked it out at first

If she doesnt call then they think they can do it again - if she does call, she can also tell them she thinks its a drug house and start that whole process. She can also call anon, just incase she wants to protect her identity.

We decided not to call the cops for the reason Shannon mentioned. And even if I called anom., they would still know it was us because we are the only ones who would have seen it since it's in our back yard an we don't have any other neighbors. No I didn't hear it happen. It must have happened sometime after we went to bed around 1:00am. We figured out that it actually wasn't the neighbors, it was some girls that go down there all the time. Since our house is like a duplex, we have our drive way and also another driveway on FIL's side that wraps around the whole house into the alley. A couple weeks ago, MIL and Chris' granny were here, and the girls driving that same SUV come flying around FIL's side right behind where MIL parked her car. This was around 1 in the morning. MIL and Granny were leaving and the girls almost hit their car! I told them that this was a private driveway, and they were like, "We know. We're sorry. We took the wrong turn!" We let them go around MIL's car through our yard to get out. It is a crappy situation. If something else happens, I will be calling the cops, but since it didn't damage anything but the tree, we figure they are probably already in enough trouble since the girls we saw driving it before were only about 18 and the SUV is a SAAB which is a pretty expensive car! We did get pics of the damage to the tree and the license plate just in case the tree falls down or something. I also worry about them flying down there because our nieces come over and we go out in the backyard alot and also our dogs are out there alot as well. Where the SUV is, is right behind our back fence, so they could have easily ran into the backyard.

Is there any way you could maybe put up a gate or something to protect your private drive?
Talk about dangerous - what if y'all had a dog that had to go potty at 2 am and wandered out to that little road.
That car is messed UP! Hahaha. Serves them right.

Serves them right! I hope they learned a lesson this time so they don't get severely injured next time.
I thought someone punched out their windows there for a second!

That is so dangerous! I know what you mean about being afraid of the neighbors retaliating, if you are the only ones out there, they'd know it was you. I don't think it would be amiss, if you talk to these people ever, to say something about how you think people need to slow down coming through there, because of what happened and that you don't want an even worse accident to happen.
