I think we missed the egg.

We decided we would BD twice a day until O is confirmed. Well, Friday night I got like 4 hours of sleep and I had to wake up really early on Saturday to go to my mom's graduation, so we didn't do it Saturday morning. Then when I got home I laid down at 8pm saying I was going to take a nap and DF didn't wake me up!!! I wake up this morning and what do I see but a temp spike!!!

Adults are allowed to throw temper tantrums every now and then, right?

You've hardly missed it!!! Look how many times you've BD'd in the past few days!

I BD'd one time the cycle I got Kirsty and it was 2 days before O!

With this pregnancy, we were not trying and we only BD'ed one time which was 2, possibly even 3 days before O. (I wasn't temping so I don't know which day I O'ed.)

I thought I had ZERO chance too....

Thanks for the encouragement... but DF went to the doc and, although I'm not allowed to go into details, I'll just say doc said we need to do it twice a day. I checked my cervix this morning and it was still quite soft, so we BDed just in case. I still think we screwed the pooch on this one despite our activities this morning.

That is odd advice. Was this from an RE? Mine told me the reason we weren't getting preggo was because we were doing it too much and that we should abstain until we got a positive opk so that his sperm could build up. The month we got preggo, we'd only bd'd 3 times the entire month and the closest to ovulation was 2 days prior.

I'm pretty sure it was doc himself who gave the advice. He meant around O time, not all month. DF has a good sperm count, so I guess DTD twice a day is okay.

If he has a good sperm count then u should be good.... we BDed 1 time, 2 days before O and it worked!!!

Good to know other have been successful BDing a couple days prior to O as that will be me this month.

Lochlann is a product of bd'ing the day before O and that's the only day we did it in weeks. And this was before I even had my first pp af! Sometimes that little egg is just meant to get caught!

I agree that that sounds odd that you have to do it twice a day around O time. But I don't know the details so . . .

Thanks again ladies! I'm getting a bit confused because my temps are going up and down. They've done that in the past, though. I seem to have a dip after O for some reason.
