Dustin and I went to Babies R Us the other day to get a mattress pad. We were looking at a rocker as I was describing to Dustin which one looked most like the one I got from Walmart, when a sales lady that looked to be in her mid-50's with frizzy blonde hair walks up and asks if we need help. We say no we are just looking and I continue talking to Dustin. She then asks us in the snotty voice, "are you looking for a crib?!" as if we were looking for one at the last minute or something even though we are clearly in the aisle with the rockers. So I look at her and firmly but politely tell her no we are JUST LOOKING again. Then she asks me, "When are you due, like TOMORROW!?" And I tell her no, in 3 weeks. She then, genius that she was, found it appropriate to tell me how HUGE I am and ask if I was sure of my due date! ***! Pissed as hell but trying to ignore what she just said, I turn from her and say loudly to Dustin, "Anyways honey, like I WAS SAYING . . ." as we blatantly turn our backs to her and walk away from the area. But she STILL FOLLOWS us and starts to ask us if we like the fabric on one particular chair. Now, I am ready to turn around and rip her a new one, but Dustin cuts me off and tells her, "We already told you we do not need your help, you need to leave us alone right NOW". So she finally gets it, and as she is walking away Dustin asks me what the heck was she thinking she should know better working at a baby store, and I respond very loudly with "WELL I GUESS SHE IS A FREAKING MORON!" Not my proudest moment, but honestly! And this is my first dumb*** encounter my entire pregnancy, believe it or not.
Anyways, this is why I don't go to stores by myself anymore, because I was going to lay in to this woman pretty badly. Just the other day at Home Depot this customer service lady was explaining something to me that seriously made no sense, and so I looked her dead in the eye and calmly asked, "And what the F* does that mean?" Dustin told me it was inapporpriate to drop the F bomb, but seriously she sounded like she was speaking oompa loompa! Anyways, she wasn't offended once she saw my HUGE belly. Soemtimes you just gotta say what the F*, you know?

We had a weird stalker like guy at BRU the other week also! He came up to us like 5 times to see if we needed help---we said NO just looking each time, but he was all pushy and kept trying to direct WHERE we looked....weird he wanted us in the crib section also?!! Do they work on commission there?
I can't believe she was calling YOU huge---thats insane because you look GREAT! I think the occasional F bomb is VERY appropriate with some people.

You crack me up! But seriously why are people so rude. It's so not right to tell a preggo they are too big or too little. Like people who come into my office and say "when are you gonna look pregnant"...What? It makes me feel bad that people don't think my belly is big ENOUGH.....some people!
I agree - the F is necessary in certain circumstances!

Good grief! I got insensitive comments like that all the freakin time when I was pregnant with Taylor. Mainly at Wal Mart or when I was still cutting hair. People act like they've never seen a pregnant woman that's 9 months along LoL!

Wow, how rude!... Although, In BRU here they tend to never be around! If we need help we always have to like end up at the other side of the store!
I think your aloud to loose your cool, espeically when your almost ready to pop because sometimes people really get your goat and you just NEED to use the FBomb to get your point across!

Gahhh what gives people the right to be so dumb & rude I'm a very reserved person but I think I would have said something when she said about your due date. How rude! You should have complained about her to the store manager!

 You crack me up!
Towards the end of my pregnancy, I too started to fear going places alone because it was exhausting hearing all of the comments and answering "2 weeks, Sept 6th, boy, Reid" over and over and over....
My only bad experience was at a Starbucks. I ordered a venti water and my mom ordered a soy chai. It was HOT and I was 39 weeks preggo....I was THIRSTY! The guy at the counter was like, "Okay, your total is blah blah". The girl making the drinks hands me a TALL water. It's super tiny, like kid size. I said to her very nicely, "oh, I actually wanted a larger one, venti please" and she says, ".....this is the size that we give" and I practically shrieked at her, "I'm 9 months pregnant and just want some water, are you kidding me?!" (or something along those lines). I got pissed and spun on my heel to walk away with my dang tall iced water. My mom was still standing there and the girl said (not knowing that she was my mom), "Wow, someone is grumpy!" Oh guuuuurl, you're lucky I didn't hear you!
I also screamed the f-bomb at a lady in a parking lot that same day because she stole my parking spot

I'm sorry to laugh but you always add flare to your posts which have me Roflmao!!
The lady was a jerk to keep pestering you especialy after you indicated you didn't need help more than once.
I do think you made the wisest decision not to go anywhere alone! I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for you or for the person who encounters you and does something stupid!

Wow! She was really rude! We actually have a lady that works at registry at our store that says some things that aren't necessarily appropriate to girls registering. I hate it and always feel bad for the girls. And btw, BRU employees do not work on commission. As far as them bugging you, it's just what we are told to do. We get a lot of complaints about employees not being around to help the customers, so when we actually do have enough people working, they tell us to always make contact with every guest and keep checking back on them. So, they were just doing their job, but, if she just kept talking after you told her you were just looking and following you, that was a little weird. I'm sorry you have to deal with those type of comments.
