I want to order Landen some toys because they do not have anything here besides teething rings and rattles. Do any of you mommy's have any toys you recommend??? I am having a hard time picking things out. So far I was thinking about these

Amazon.com: Baby Einstein Color Kaleidoscope: Baby

Amazon.com: Fisher-Price Amazing Animals Press and Go Animal Parade: Toys & Games

What do you think???

Fisher price toys really held my kids attention! I would go with their farm animal's and blocks. they also loved lego's (get more use out of them when their older) but their great color/hand/eye coordination tools. anything that makes noise, sounds, different shapes are a plus!!

Oliver started playing with this big blocks and the ring things. Those look like good choices too.

Those look good. You may also want stacking cups and rings, although I think those might be for when he's older. My memory is so bad these days.

Those are cute toys..

But Adriana never got into those fancy toys.. She liked to play with books and toys that she could pull herself up to and push buttons so it can make noise.

You should check out your local thrift store.. The one in my town has ALOT of toys and for cheap.. I'm talking 75 cents a piece, no matter what it is.. All you have to do is sanitize it to death and it's like new.. I also get lots of books from goodwill and the thrift stores.. Can't beat the price..

I won't buy Reid fancy, expensive toys anymore (those are good prices on Amazon though!)

He much prefers simple things like boxes, his plastic bowls and spoons, and rubber duck bath toys.

I will buy him bigger toys, that he can use to hold onto or stand with, but I will get them from a used baby store and just clean them really well.

I agree - my son was never into the real elaborate toys...he actually plays more with certain toys now than when he was the age they suggested....like the fisher price barn...he now plays the animals talking to each other and lining them up for races and what not but when he was 18 months old or whatever age its really for he could care less.

Around 9 months to a year he was into balls and stacking things....he like the really big leggos.....so I agree with the other ladies....don't go for the fancy overpriced toys that don't hold their attention!
