Anyone who knows anything about editing software. Is Photoshop Elements a vector editing software? I want to buy a photo online to use in my invitations, but it says I need a program that works with vectors. I know someone mentioned something about it in my thread about the monograms, but what programs are vector editing programs? And also, if the picture I want is a different color I want, is that something I can change?

Sorry this is totally off topic I just dont know anyone IRL who would know these things...

Inkscape is a free vector graphics editor. I've just barely started using it though so I am not much help. Hopefully the girls can help you more.

Thank you Kati! I just need something that will allow me to edit it and then hopefully I can save the edited one and open it in Photoshop or something to be able to add the text and everything.

I don't know anything about vector. If you still don't have an answer by tomorrow, I will ask my grahic artist here at work. He would know. He uses Photoshot CS3, Illustrator, and InDesign.

I don't know anything about PS personally, DH does. I'd assk him but he's at work. I do know that for me at least, PS is kind of a nightmare to navigate and if you don't know what you're doing andd are only looking to buy it and use it for this one project... it might be worth it to find someone else who can do those things for you.

Oh... ask on the photography board... or the siggies one!
