We're getting professional portraits done tomorrow and it's really hard to find something to wear! I already have a limited selection for me because I still don't fit into alot. And Henry fits into only like 2 dozen outfits because even at almost 10lbs, the newborn size fits him best (I thought I was going to have a big baby, most clothes I have for him are larger).

I want us all to match in the same light color. Do you think gray and white are too boring of colors? Should I choose something bolder?

UGH I may need to go shopping.

Here is what you could do with all black and a naked baby. This is a pic from over 300 taken, but it's not one of my favs. I think our eyes are half closed, but you can get the idea. It's also not edited and spiffed up. For some reason, the best ones that we had edited, etc., are in a format that won't upload to photobucket. Anyhow, this is just another example of something you could do. We LOVE our newborn photos!

We wore black also for ours. We did naked newborn photos. I think it looks classic and timeless.

I think the black and white is beautiful. But I want alot of white. I think of newborns, I think of pastels. I've already bought a few realistic looking Gerber daisies in light colors, and some light blue ribbon I hope to tie around his belly. The photographer recommended us wearing lighter colors if we want a white or light blue background.

I went and got matching white polo shirts for me and DH.

If we go with gray, then I'll wear this sweater and he'll just wear a polo.

White should be fine, but I also love ligher blues against a white background. I really like nakie baby pics Especially at that age! Clothes just don't look "right" on newborns to me

We also did the all black/naked baby portraits

Blue on white

Here are pastels on black, which also looks nice
