I know all the benefits of my milk for baby and for me.... But there are so many other things it's good for. Alexa's nails were long and she scratched up her face ... So I squirted some milk on her face, rubbed it in and within 20-30 and the scratches disappeared!!!! And I have used it in her eyes when she had goopy eye issues when she was just born- and even when she was nasaly early on I put some in her nose and it helped!

A couple other reasons why mamas milk is so good!!!

If u have used your milk for other things besides nursing- share here

I was told with both kids to use it in their clogged eye ducts but it saddly hasnt worked for them.

I was told to put it in my c-section incision but I was too scared to try because of it staying too moist down there due to my weight.

It's also great for diaper rash and taking the sting/itch out of insect bites.

Um I have to admit I use my leaky-ness now for insect bites and pimples---works GREAT! I tried it on a burn even-didn't do much there though. LOL

I know you can use breast milk in the eye for conjunctivitis, aka Pink eye.. I personally have never tried it.. lol

I exclusively pumped for 6 months and Adriana was super healthy.. Same goes for when she was on formula (Organic of course ).. My baby girl is just one of the lucky ones, especially since she goes to day care..

Do you think it would help Kirsty's eczema?! Her scalp is in a terrible mess with eczema

I used it in Gabriella's clogged tear duct and it worked for me. It took a little bit though.

I don't know if breast milk will work for eczema.. But it wouldn't hurt to try.. If it's really bad, I would ask your Pediatrician for a low strength steroid cream. Adriana had bad cradle cap when she was a newborn and it started to ozz after the Dr. suggest I try Selsun Blue.. BIG MISTAKE! Made it worse and I should have known better! But after 2 days of the cream, it went away.. If you do get a steriod cream, it's vary important that you put a tiny amount.. Super small amount. Your Pediatrician and the Pharmacist should stress this to you..

Here's a interesting topic I found when I was googling information for you.. I find this kinda true because when I switched to Organic Formula, Adriana's eczema was almost gone.. Now we only give Adriana Organic milk and her skin only breaks out when the weather changes or she gets sick.. And for my next baby, all I'm drinking is Organic milk.. Plus, Organic milk tastes soo much better then regular milk..

A new study indicates that the incidence of eczema is reduced by up to thirty-six percent in infants who eat only organic dairy products, and whose mothers also consumed only organic dairy products. A separate recent study also confirms that higher levels of conjugated linoleic acids (CLAs) are fund in organic milk, and in the breast milk of women consuming organic milk. The research asserts that the increased levels of conjugated linoleic acid isomers (CLA) found in organic milk and breast milk are responsible for lowering the rates of eczema.
