My mom and I went wedding dress shopping!!! We found *the dress*... after 9 hours.

It was intense, but loads of fun. My back started giving out (I have back problems) and I paid for it the next day, but it was well worth it.
Oh, and the lady that was helping us was very helpful, but VERY annoying because she insisted on coming in the dressing room with me... I don't like that! I was glad she was able to pull dresses that she knew I would like based on what I told her; she really knew her merchandise and I don't think I would have been able to find the gorgeous ones she did, there were just so many!
Bear with me because I look AWFUL in the pics. I took Shannon's advice and didn't wear any makeup, and of course I didn't really sleep the night before! Anyway, so here were the top contenders, in no particular order:
Contender #1:
Contender #2:
Contender #3:
I don't have a pic angled well so that you can see the front and back, so I'm including two pics...
Contender #4:
Again, no good pic with front and back angle:
So, here's the story. I tried on #2 first. I have had my eye on it online for a long time. I've always liked it. It was affordable and fit my "simple but elegant" wedding theme.
Then I tried on #3. I didn't like it at first, but it was my mom's favorite. I didn't want the poofy princess style, and was leaning more torwards trumpet or mermaid, which is why I didn't really like it at first... but it grew on me! A random customer came up to me a few dresses later and told me she thought this one looked really good on me. She said it made me look like I have a 16" waist. Hah! I wish!
Then came #1. I absolutely loved this dress. The pic doesn't do it justice because it was 2 sizes too big for me.
Then came #4. It was the only one I liked that wasn't from Alfred Angelo. My mom thought it was gorgeous, but I thought it made my butt look fat! Then she showed me the pic she took and for some reason it looked different.
So... which one did I choose???
... Can you guess??
Which one is your favorite??
Got your guess ready??
At first #1 was my fav, but because I was on a tight deadline and they didn't have it stocked, I would have had to buy the try-on dress that, like I said, was 2 sizes too big. I would have been okay with that, kinda, but it was almost double what I set out for my budget because it was fancy schmancy italian silk.

I just couldn't spend that much on a used dress, you know?
#2 was my second fav because it was affordable and pretty, but after comparing it to the other ones I thought it had a little girlish look to it.
#4 was nice, but my skin tone doesn't look as good in white as it does in ivory.
So, we had it narrowed down to the top two, contender #1 and #2, which both had their pros and cons, and went to try them on one more time. My mom said, "why don't you try on the second one you tried just one more time." (That would be dress #3.. like I said, it was her fav and I didn't even like it.) I said ok, put it on, and looked in the mirror. I saw myself, and looked a little closer... I was just thinking, wait a minute, why didn't I like this before??! I think I was just automatically turned off by the poofyness because I didn't want that style and didn't even realize how gorgeous it was. I didn't even see that it was fitted through the hips, which is what I wanted. I realized it was a lot like my #1 fav, but even more pretty with the beading details on the top and bottom of the front and on the back. I thought it was one of thier expensive lines, and I asked the lady how much it was, and it was less than HALF of #1... I was absolutely sold! And I could see me in this dress bringing tears to DF and my father's eyes.

I guess Mother really does know best! That's her in the background with the camera.
One more parting pic...
This is the one!!! What do you think?
