I am panicking. I met my new doctor, and he couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler. This was how I lost Marina, they couldn't find a heartbeat, and then it was confirmed that she was gone by ultrasound. He tried for such a long time, but nothing. I go for an ultrasound on friday. Please send some good thoughts. I am 12 weeks, he should have been able to hear it.

Oh Ali I'm sorry! I hope it was something the dr was doing wrong and that your bean is ok! I'll keep you in my T's&P's!

Not necessarily. My OB refused to use the doppler until after 14 weeks for this reason. I know you are scared because of your history, but try to think positive until Friday. Is that the soonest that they could get you in? You poor thing, I am so sorry that you have to go through this fear again. They should have gotten you an appointment TODAY. I'm praying that everything is just fine!

I agree with Breanna my sisters doc wouldnt use the doppler until she was 16 weeks because it can be hard to find and then cause panic. I really really hope that is all it was and that you hear the heartbeat on Friday. I really wish they could bring you in sooner though, thats a long time for you to worry!

No, friday is good, if it's bad news, I don't want to have to show up to work the next day.

Oh no. I'm sorry Ali! Is there any way they can get you in sooner or can you go to the emergency room or something? I can't see having to wait days for something like this! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! (((HUGS)))

Hon I am so sorry that you are scared. I agree with the other ladies, many docs won't even look for the HB that early because dopplers are not reliable at ALL. I know it is completely impossible to relax, so I won't even tell you to do that... Just know that we are all here for you during your wait for Friday.
*HUGS*

Thanks for some of the reassurance, it makes me feel better. I've been in a horrible mood, snapping at Elsa, my dogs, I'm so stressed about this, I wish I could have heard that heartbeat!

My doc didn't hear a HB until after 12 weeks as well via doppler. Before that it was all on ultrasound.
I am sure the baby is just fine

What everyone else is saying sounds really reassuring about dopplers being unreliable so early. Good luck on Friday, I will be looking for you post and maybe some pics
