Can I go parasailing? I know for the parasailing company they don't want pg people going b/c of their insurance reasons... but is it safe for me to go since I'm only 8 weeks along? I know there are all these weird 'no no's" like jumping into pools... something about possibly detatching the placenta, etc. I've never been parasailing but it doesn't seem like it does anything jerk-y etc. I can find anything online about parasailing while pregnant except like parasailing companies saying they don't want pg people parasailing or even riding on their boat.

I would personally feel ok going.....they are boring-they don't whip you around, they simply pull you up let you hang around then float you down.

I'd probably be to paranoid...more so about the speed/velocity you land back into the water at (high flow jet stream up the wahoo?) But I dont know b/c I've never gone. Maybe you are put back into the water softly?

I decided not to go. I'll go some other time, I think. My mom really wanted me to go with her, but she's going to wait and take my step-sister and nephew later on in the week.

For mine I stood on the back of the boat and was lifted with the wind (not like a snap ---just gentle) and then landed on the same boat when done just as smoothly. I had full clothes on and never really touched the water. I guess it depends on how its done----mine was so calm the 90 yr old ladies in Florida were doing it also! LOL

Like Angela said, here you are lifted by the wind off the boat and slowly brought back down to land on the boat, so you never actually get wet. Like my mom said though, I'd be the one in the million where the line would snap or something... and might as well take those risks (however minimal they may be) when its just me.
