Few quick questions. First off, during my period, should I have temped? tomorrow is my last day of my cycle (although I think Im finished today...weird as Ive always been a full 5-6 days...but then again this is my first period in 3 years) So I will resume temping tomorrow. Ok, 2nd question - is it REALLY worth it to get the VIP Fertility Friend?! 3rd and last question, when I wipe, can I check my CM that way or do I have to internally check??

First off you dont have to temp during your period, I just do because it looks pretty not to miss any days! lol Second, I personally think it is worth it for the VIP on ff there are so many more features with the VIP I always had it (i dont right now while were on our break though). Third, 99% of the time I check cm by wiping and checking out the toilet paper. Most of the time I have enough to do that, ive only internally checked a few times!

About the CM - I only check internally because I always check my cervix position too.

Yeah...I'm always going "please don't walk in here please don't walk in here" when I'm checking in the bathroom, hahaha. I've gotten used to it.

LOL hubby and I try to give each other privacy in the bathroom but we will go infront of each other. He knows I check when I temp and chart, so hes not thrown off by it - that and after 8 years of being together...noting phases us

I did internal checks so I could check position also. But wipe checks wouldn't have ever worked for me---I don't think I would have ever caught my fertile days with just that. (so I feel internal checks are much more accurate). I don't remember what it was but I had the VIP FF then let it laps and I couldn't do some of the stuff I loved to do so I bought it! And I charted during my AF just to stay in the habit of temping.

I occasional did internal checks. I did them when I was unsure of my CM and needed more specimen. But I'd check when I had to go the bathroom, before actually going and wiping

I don't think the FF VIP is worth it but I was never actively TTC so I guess it's hard to say. It seemed like once a cycle I got the free VIP trial and that was always nice, but I didn't like it enough that I would pay for it. You don't HAVE to temp during AF, but it gives a more complete picture, I think, when you do. I noted CM by what was available -- I never did the internal checks but I always had an abundance without doing that.

well a ovulation prediction would be nice, as well as possible pregnancy prediction. Thats really all I want.

Whether you do internal checks or check on the TP will probably be up to your body. I wanted to just check the TP, but I could never get a good idea of it. I had to do internal checks to see what was going on in most cases.
While I thought the VIP FF was cool and I had fun playing with it when I got it for free, it certainly wasn't necessary and the basic free version has everything you need to chart and get preggo. But we're also trying to save every last dime we have, so $45 never seemed worth it.
Good luck!
