We have our video baby monitor set up to see Matthew's bassinet that is set up in our bathroom. So last night my monitor started spazzing out and it started getting static-y and I started seeing flashs of a crib. I was like omg, is there a ghost? Yeah, I was tired.
Then I realized it must be the neighbor's! Dh changed the channel so that we couldn't see it but it you go to the other channel you can.
Then today I turned it back and could see their toddler and turned up the volume and could hear what they were saying.
And I was like OMG have they heard ME singing the poo poo pants song to Matthew?! (Our changing table is in there too)
But it gets so much worse. I just realized what was going on in our bathroom yesterday.... me and Dh about to get jiggy. I was about to take a shower when he came in and saw me nude, so yeah.... I don't think they could have seen anything since the monitor really only shows his bassinet. But I have no idea what we might have said in there.
Now I dunno if the neighbors are picking up our signal like we are theirs but it is kind of creeping me out now! I turned off our camera today and I'm just going to turn it back on when it's bedtime and I need it in use.

Is it digital or analog monitor? (just wondering because I was told digital don't pick up others--and I'm wondering if thats true). See now I'm the weirdo who would probably check in on the neighbors with my monitor if it did that! LOL

YIKES! That is funny but scary at the same time.
I have a digital monitor, Angela, and never have problems with interference. I've had two, this Graco one and now this Safety 1st one. The Graco one was good but kept losing the signal and would make this annoying beeping noise. The Safety First one is the bomb diggity - the sound is crystal clear with no static or interference.

Ours picked up a neighbors once but only for a couple seconds. We don't have a video with it. It's only a monitor with sound.

We have the double monitor version of that Graco one. I love it. It has a great range and it's not suppose to pick up others.

We have the summer handheld video monitor.
Hmm...now I am worried that once we move the camera to his nursery on the other side of the house, I bet the signal from the neighbors will be equally as strong since they'll be about the same distance. Dh is pissed b/c we spent a lot of money on the monitor.
I don't know what is up with the neighbors because I checked it last night and there was no toddler in the crib (they've got it set up as a toddler bed). During the day I can't usually see anyone, I just hear a TV going.
