How many of you BD'd in the first trimester? Did it cause any spotting or cramping?

I know it shoudnt cause problems in normal pregnancies. But that doesnt make me worry less, as I've read in multiple places it can cause spotting.

I dont know....maybe once I get checked out by a Dr I'll feel better about it.

Gemma's dad and I did. I never even had a single spot with her. It didn't feel as good as pre-pregnancy though.

I have being DTD the whole time. I never had spotting with it---but after an orgasm my uterus does cramp (thats normal) but some women this makes them very uncomfortable.

We've dtd twice since we found out... mainly b/c I've been so exhausted that I'm going to bed and falling asleep like hours before DH comes to bed. Neither time did I have any spotting or cramping.

We've been doing it all along, but only about once a week.

We did often and had had sporadic spotting...nothing major. We DTD up until the time that they discovered I had a low-lying placenta and put us on pelvic rest and determined that the position of the placenta was causing my spotting....we never were given the official ok to go back off pelvic rest but we've snuck a few "deeds" in the rest of the pregnancy. DH is a wreck doing it though cause of all my problems and things.....so I have to really seduce him into it. He's about ready to do it again cause we both want this baby out after this weekend!

I did up until week 6 when the morning sickness kicked in and we started again after week 20but not very often. I never had any spotting but I did experience the cramping.

We didn't have sex until the second trimester. But it was only because I had miscarriage earlier and was scared. My doctor told me that there wouldn't be any issues if I had.

I did it early on in the first tri (the day I got my BFP, actually) and it was fine. I had a lot of spotting issues later (unrelated), though, so I was put on pelvic rest.

Erin, OMG, I didn't know you were expecting! I haven't been around that much lately. Big congrats to you, girl!

We never do in the first trimester but that's because we've had an early loss and neither of us is comfortable with it. Plus, I'm usually spending my first several months puking and that doesn't exactly put either of us in a romantic mood.

I did and had no spotting.

If your DH ends up being squeamish of sex with a baby inside you, I would recommend NOT having his hands anywhere near your stomach while DTD in the late 3rd trimester. Jack goes INSANE the entire time!
