I'm very confused and frustrated with my body. I've been waiting to bleed because that's what everyone tells me needs to happen. Well i had some brown spotting yesterday and a tiny bit this morning but it never sticks around. It always goes away and then comes back and goes away. I just wish it would happen already so i could move on. I had high expectations for today because my temps had been decreasing the past couple days. I was hoping it would go down even more today and then i'd start bleeding finally. But my temp went back up. I don't know how much i can rely on my temps but i've always heard and seen from the other ladies on here that your temps go down when your body is miscarrying or about to miscarry. TCOYF says this as well and also says that your temps stay high when you're pregnant because of the levels of progesterone.

And then there's the test i took this morning. I've learned that it takes longer for HCG to get out of your urine than your bloodstream and that's how they justified my betas being 0 on saturday when i had a + urine test that morning. Makes sense. But i figured by now my tests should at least be fading right? NOPE! The IC i took this morning was quite a bit darker than any of the other ICs i've taken, even the one i took on the same day i got a + FRER and digital. I guess this might not mean anything at all but it sure is confusing the heck out of me. I've always heard of people's tests getting lighter. How could the HCG in my urine be increasing if there is 0 left in my bloodstream? Maybe i just don't understand this well enough? The lady who gave me the last beta results did say "well it could be a fluke" Why the heck would she tell me this? How could there be flukes?! They shouldn't make those kind of mistakes. I just decided to believe the results were accurate because why wouldn't they be?

I'm not saying this because i'm trying to look for a way that i could possibly still be pregnant. I'm nowhere near that hopeful and wouldn't put myself through hope just to be let down all over again. This long process is just causing me so much heartache and i can't help but sometimes hear the lady's words in my head "it could just be a fluke" I feel like i'm going crazy and just wish i knew what was up.

Sorry this is so long. I really just needed to vent. Does anyone have any explanation as to why all this is happening or has anyone been through this?

Thank you so much for listening.

Can they do another blood test - or can you have it done somewhere else - maybe they did mess up the blood test??? This does seem very bizarre. I'm sorry you have to go thru this?

I know it seems very strange doesn't it? I set up an appointment to see my OB today at 3:30. I can't wait to get some answers finally.

Ummm...definitely update us. You shouldnt be getting darker tests if your HCG is 0. I found it odd that it went from 31 to 0 in the first place that was a VERY fast drop! i definitely dont think its at 0 yet with those very positive tests. And it is weird that your not bleeding yet, too. Just from my own personal experience I had an HCG level of 14 still WHILE I was bleeding and you have an HCG level of 0 with NO bleeding yet? Strange!! I hope you get some answers today!

Good! It does seem bizarre and, as always, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted though.

Oh...one more question: you aren't seeing the same DR this time are you?

I'm not sure what's up either. When I lost before I knew because I was bleeding, not from a blood test. I'm interested in what the doctor says.

You're right Krista, this is incredibly bizarre and doesn't make sense. If you're miscarrying and your beta was 0 then you shouldn't be getting darker tests, you shouldn't even be getting positives. I really hope your doctor can give you some answers today. I know you're not holding out any hope but I am for you! *HUGS*

When i told the nurse over the phone today that i didn't think my tests should be getting darker if my beta was 0 she didn't sound like it was weird. I was like "shouldn't they be getting lighter at least?" And she said "not necessarily." HUH?

Yes it's a different doctor than before. It's my normal OB. I've been looking for a new one but decided to just get in with her since i'm used to her.

Not to mention your beta shouldn't even be zero while you still have tissue inside of you. You will continue to get positive pregnancy test until it does pass....I know alllll about that.

Hopefully you get some answers soon. It does seem very bizarre.
