I'm still pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My doctor called me late last night while i was in bed. My HCG level is 54. I'm so happy i'm pregnant! I'm trying my hardest to not worry about the beta number but i can't help it. It was 31 last thursday, so that means it didn't go up much of the past several days. Can someone tell me whether i need to be concerned??? I really want to just move on and enjoy my pregnancy. She does want to re-check it tomorrow and see where it's at. I've been through so much now that it would be horrible if i still lost this baby. I know it's supposed to double every 48-72 hours, but is there still a chance i can have a healthy pregnancy? I really hope these numbers don't matter that much.

God truly does answer prayers!

I posted in teh TTC#1Grads but I have another question for you: are you going to call that other center and let them know they messed up? What if they switched your results on accident and someone else thinks they are pregnant? You know what I mean?
I cant remember, did you get your first levels at the OB or the urgent care?

I got my first results at urgent care. I doubt someone else thinks they're pregnant. I mean they would've had to test for the same test. I dunno for sure. We are going to try to figure it out though. Jimmy says he refuses to pay for a test that wasn't even mine.

I don't have any advice but I'm so relieved for you! And if you truly are having a healthy pregnancy, that's complete bull that urgent care put you thru this!

I don't know much about HCG levels but just wanted to say I'm glad you got your results back and I'm praying for your precious baby ((HUGS))

Yeah I don't have any insight either but I just want to say how happy I am for you, I can't even imagine going through all of that and how you must be feeling now!

That explains the positive HPT. I am glad you're beginning to get answers. The number should be going up much higher than that. However, I don't think you should compare the 31 and the 54 because they are from different labs, one of which has already shown a major error, so you may not be able to trust one or both numbers.

My advice is to be cautiously hopeful, and schedule an early u/s as soon as humanly possible! I will continue to keep you in my thoughts until this whole thing gets sorted out for good!

I'm hoping this lab just made that one mistake and i won't have to worry now. My doctor does her labs at the same place as where i got the zero result. The 31 result was taken at a different one. I will certainly be concerned if the number doesn't go WAY up tomorrow. I don't want to get an u/s done because i got one last week and felt like it was just a waste because it was too early to see anything.

That's wonderful Krista!! Can I just say, what a colossal screw up by the lab?! I wonder if that happens very often. I think Kyle has some good advice for you. I am very cautiously hopeful for you.

OMG sweetie I just had a feeling you were gonna find that you!! I cant believe a lab screwed up like that, and put you through that!! Its so unfair! Youve done enough worrying I would just relax and see what the next couple days takes you.

I would however get an early ultrasound. One when you think youll be about 6w, thats when I first seen Kennedi and heard her heartbeat!

I knew it, I never doubted it!! There were too many odd things going on! (Positive results...31 to 0 SO fast...etc) Now I would make sure to get your levels checked again though because if that 31 on Saturday was right 54 today is not a big rise. BUT I bet it was just another mix up. WOW I would be sooooo pissed at that lab that told you it was 0 have you called and complained?

I'm so happy for you (so far!) I hope and pray it sticks and that that other lab was just incompetent. How dare they!

I think tons of sticky dust is in order:

Oh Krista! I'm so glad that they came back with the OBVIOUS result... that with your high temps and + hpt's that you HAVE to be pregnant! and even though I'm not seeing this until now, I'm glad that she called you back late last night and didn't keep you waiting until today! The lower beta number is a concern... so like Kyle said, maybe be carefully optimistic until you get your next set of numbers. sticky
