Well here's my update...
Matthew is doing pretty good, his reflux is still here but most of the time he is a "happy spitter" lately, so we aren't doing any meds. We are trying probiotics, maybe that has helped, I dunno. When he went in to the dr last week, he was 10.5 pounds! So he gained 3 lbs in less than 6 weeks.
Most of his crying is because he wants to eat like, 5 minutes ago and I dare to do such horrible things like change his diaper before I feed him. (Another reflux precaution, when he gets his diaper changed he tends to spit up a ton so I try to change him beforehand.)
He is still nursing a LOT, sometimes every hour still during the day and then feeding frenzy in the evenings. There was one night that he slept 8 hours, which actually kind of freaked me out, I kept checking on him, lol. But since then he's been sleeping 5 hours, waking up to eat, then only wanting to go back down for another 45 minutes. I'm hoping the 5 hours starts to stretch out longer or else he can start sleeping a bit longer during his second stretch.
He gives David and I big smiles now, it is so cute.
I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but I had my mom chop off a ton of my hair. It used to be way down my back, now it's a bit past my shoulders. Matthew was started to grab at things, including my hair, so it's just easier to have it shorter.
I love my Wrap N Wear. I have only done one hold so far, but plan to learn more. I walk with him down the street to our mailbox most days. Of course it is sunny out so he needs a hat.

He's so precious! That's cool that you caught him smiling for the camera...I still have to get a smiling pic even though Josh smiles a lot.
Mommy's milk does a body good...and we have the wrap & wear also.

Shannon, I seriously want to steal Matthew and call him mine He is way too cute!
Oh I have a question for you--do you think that some of his reflux could be caused by him eating too much? I asked b/c I knew I ate a ton as a baby, pretty constantly like your little man, and my mom said that she had to stop me from eating when she could tell I was full, otherwise I would get a bunch of reflux and stuff b/c I just would eat way too much at a time. She said she would push a little on my belly to know if I was full. She still fed me, just cut some sessions short if I was going hog wild I thought that was interesting and since I am cataloging things in my brain for any problems that could arise when Jack gets here I wanted your opinion/experience on this.

Michelle, it seems to be a sort of chicken and the egg type deal. Like, he could be eating too much which causes the reflux OR the reflux causes him to eat more b/c he's loosing milk and plus milk is a natural antacid so it's soothing. I really dunno.
It's hard for me to know when he is really hungry and when he is full. I think sometimes he wants to suck for comfort, but a pacifier is hit or miss and I don't want to offer a paci when maybe he really is hungry. So since a booby always solves any fussy crying (after the other checks of diaper change, hot/cold, change of scenary, pick him up), a booby is what he gets! I'm hoping the whole "you can't overfeed a breastfed baby" statement is true.
