How long are your nursing sessions? Have they decreased in time per session as your LO gets older? I'm just wondering 'cause Joshie can still do 1 hr.+ sessions sometimes. I think the shortest we ever do is about 45 min. so we're still doing a lot of bottles (EBM or formula) just b'c of our lifestyle. I have to go back to work on July 28th so I need to kind of figure out a schedule where he can at least nurse once a day or I know I'm going to lose my milk supply.

At that age both boys still nursed for a while. Heck, last night Lochy had a bad dream and couldn't get back to sleep and he nursed for an hour til he felt ok to go back to sleep.

I'm trying to remember when they got more efficient. I think it was more around the 5 month mark. They still had their long sessions (usually before bed time) but their daytime ones were getting shorter and shorter at that point. Then once they started getting mobile they got even faster at it.

Ditto to Jenn!!! That's how it was for Preston. Unfortunately, Edward was formula fed.

I was just curious...some of the babies in my PR nurse for like 15 min. on each side and that's it. I wish he could be that efficient, LOL.

Your really not going to like us then!! Oliver is really fast! It use to be 7-10 minutes but it's less than that now. I would say it went to 7-10 mins around 3 months old or maybe even younger. He got very good at it and fast! I wish he nursed for a long time because I enjoy holding him to nurse.

Kieran will nurse every 1-3hrs in the day time for around 10-15mintues each time, We have been nursing every 1.5-2hrs usually for 10-15min though. And then at night every 5ish hours the last few days she will nurse for 20minutes.
