So I woke up this morning not feeling so hot but DH and I are both off today and we'd made plans to spend the day shopping and out and about. I figured it was just normal, being pregnant sick feeling and nothing fancy. As we were out though I just w as feeling a mess and very worn out and achey. I finally had DH take me to my mom's (where our dogs were for the day) and I went in and passed out on the couch for about two hours. When I woke up I was feeling even worse and took my temperature and it's 101. I'm hoping I'm not in the beginning stages of the flu or anything. I've had lots of gatorade and water and am staying hydrated. I didn't call the doctor before they were closed. One of the pg books says anything under 102 isn't an immediate (like see a doctor right away) concern and to take some acetaminophen to try to bring the fever down. That makes sense but I just wanted some reassurance I'm doing the right thing. Did anybody else get sick while they were pg? Kate... I feel like I remember you having something awful while you were pg.

take a tylenol....you don't want to HIT 102. So at 101 you should start treating. And do more water then gatorade (gatorade has lots of sodium/sugar in it), get tons of sleep if you can. And throw in some bananas if your not sick to your stomach.

I don't remember ever getting sick with Gemma besides the m/s. I hope it's just a quick bug that's over and done soon! (((((HUGS)))))

I would see your doctor in the morning for a culture. It's apparently flu season, even though its june. I know any time I have a 101 or above temp, it's the flu. This month there have been 200 cases of the flu in my city alone. If you see your doctor within 48 hours of onset of symptoms they can treat you with antivirals... though i don't knwo if those are pregnancy friendly. Drink a lot of gatorade! Hope it's not the flu!

I was really sick when I was 10-11 weeks pregnant. I had a respiratory infection, and a slight fever of around 100.4. My doctor wasn't concerned. I just pumped the fluids and took tylenol to keep the fever down. I am sure you'll be fine, just rest up as much as you can!

Shannon, I got a stomach virus when I was pregnant with Preston and I was on my butt for 3 days!!! All I did was vomit!!! It was hell!!! I was seriously afraid that all the urping was going to cause me to miscarry, or something worse. But I'm OVERLY paranoid about EVERYTHING. Like Angela said, drink more water!! Way better for you! Hang in there Hon. I hope you feel better fast!!!! Try the BRATT diet if you have diaherra and an upset tummy.

No advice but I hope you feel better soon. Everyone's been sick here lately too. I was sick about 2 weeks with a cold. It wasn't too bad though. It only lasted about 3 days.

I'm sorry you're so sick. I will agree with the advice already given. I hope you just able to relax and get better. But I would at least call you Dr and see what he thinks. He might not feel you need to come in, but it will give you some reassurance if nothing else.

I was never that sick when I was pregnant. Anyway, considering that it's flu season and we have all kinds of things going around, I would definitely go and see a doc, especially with the fever part.
I hope it's nothing major and you feel better soon.

I have had some pretty bad colds while pregnant but never a fever. I hope it passes quickly!
I think she got food poisoning? Or maybe I am mistaken.

I know Kate had like a bad allergic reaction and nearly passed out before getting her epi pen or something close to that ... but I feel like she had a killer cold or something too. Hmm.
Anyway, I'm feeling much better this morning and my fever is gone. It peaked at 101.3 -- yesterday I called out of work for today just in case... even with the fever gone I don't want to push it. My cousin's neighborhood has a couple pools and a big lazy river with the tubes and I'm thinking of going over there and floating around for a while. Not sure if that's the best idea but I still might test it out in a couple hours. Yesterday I wasn't having trouble keeping food down or anything like that... I just felt achey and my skin was sensitive, I felt like I had a fever... which when I took my temperature... I did. So I don't know what the hell was wrong with me but it seems to be over. Thanks for all the responses ladies.
