because the numbers are going to come back awesome today, we are telling our parents on Sunday!

We found this card and we thought it was perfect!!! Its unsuspecting at first!

Promoted to Granddad Father's Day Greeting Card - Grandpa / Great-Grandpa - Hallmark Cards

For Chris, I bought him a card and a rubber duckie since that is what my BFF's 3 year old has named our bean.. lol

Brunch with my FIL, visiting my dad in the afternoon. I bought Ed a Chicago Cubs Jersey that says DAD on the back and the number 1. Henry bought him a tie hehe. He needs morefor work anyways and its a Father's Day classic right? Oh and I'm making him a pie.

Kaleigh that card is perfect! Do you have to order it or did you find it at the store? We told my parents on Mother's day... it's such a perfect time! They don't know you guys have been trying so they'll be really surprised, right? You should videotape it for us!

We'll grill out on my mom's and hit the pool like we do basically every weekend and I found some of these chocolate peanut things my step dad LOVED like years ago but we haven't seen in forever so I'm giving him those and this big planter thing he wants for his tomatos. For DH, I decided to make a onesie similar to those ones I had posted asking for opinions on. I'll just buy a onesie and do the iron-on thing... it's not like the baby is gonna wear it more than once probably anyway so I don't need it to be super fancy. It'll say "My <3 belongs to a photographer' on the front, and "photographer's assistant" on the butt. I don't plan on doing anything for FIL, DH can if he wants and if he asks me to go along I will... but otherwise I'm not planning on seeing him.

I sent my dad and my Gramps Father's Day cards, since they are so far away.

I am testing on Father's Day! And of course hoping for that BFP. We also have plans to go to a big cookout for all the fathers.....if I am pg it'll be hard not to run around and scream it to everyone.

DH taped it when we gave my mom the bfp for Mother's Day and she didn't even notice... she was paying attention to opening her 'gift' and then when she saw Ben pointing the camera at her she put her arm around me, held up the test and just smiled. It's funny cause she's all cheesing on video. haha

I'm going to the store tonight to get my dad a DVD. I never know what DVD to get him because my brother pawns my dad's DVDs for drugs. So I don't want to duplicate something, ya know? So I'm going to buy him Marley and Me because he thinks Jennifer Aniston is hot! So we are going over tomorrow because Dad likes to have Sundays as a "nothing to do" kind of day since he gets up at 3am for work every morning. For Chris, I have no I idea what I'm going to do for him. He has a buddy who can get him a tattoo done for like $40 so, I might just give him the money and he can get his tattoos. He wants to get the boys names on his arms. The underside of his forearms. We'll see.

You don't want to tell your FIL that he is going to be a grandpa on father's day?

I don't have a relationship with my dad so nothing there. Damon's Dad lives 3 hours away and we sent a card. I still have to get Damon a card. I'm also getting him season 5 of Married w/ Children. It's what he asked for.

haha he can wait and find out he's becoming a GREAT grandpa for all I care. haha. I do feel bad though b/c DH is SO excited he really wants to tell them but I feel like I'm the pg one, and I don't want to deal with them so we're waiting. They'll find out soon enough... 4th of July which is like right around the corner. my mom told us the other day that at the wedding FIL came up to her and told her "they better not have kids any time soon" in which my mom told him that we didn't have any plans to TTC until I was done with school... but seriously, it's none of his business and the fact that he was telling my mom we "better not" (is that a threat!?) makes me want to tell him even less.

^ That was rude of him to say. Are you going to just tell the IL's or does Ben want to do something special to tell them? I was wondering if you are still in school. How much longer until you graduate?

I don't care how we tell them. I'm not going to think of any creative way to tell them since I don't expect they'll take it as good news so there's no point in being clever. I basically figure, it's DH's parents... so we'll tell them however he wants to. I don't even want to be there, but obviously I will be. So DH can flat out tell them or if he wants to do a card or whatever that's fine. Since everything is about his 19 y/o sister anyway (seriously our wedding they gave toasts about how they're proud of her.. wth) the only good reaction will probably be them talking about what a good aunt she'll be or something. Then if MIL takes well to this she'll be buying a bunch of crap she can't afford that we don't want. She's already talked about how gross BFing is, etc. so this is just not going to be fun. She's 60... she has a 40 year old son and SHOULD be a grandma already but has zero grandbaby fever. So, maybe I'll be surprised but if the past is any hint of their reaction I think this will be a mess.

For school, there was only one summer class I could take that I needed and it was Mon - Thurs from like 3-6 and I couldn't miss work for it... so I'm not taking anything right now. I don't think I'll go back in the fall b/c I'll be almost full term by the time the semester ends in December. I just don't think I'll be able to handle it all. I also need to do an internship. Right now I'm kind of throwing my hands up in the air about it - it just seems too overwhelming.

I forgot to get a card for my Dad so I'll probably just call him on Sunday. The boys and I are taking Ian out to dinner for Father's Day. Possibly bringing the in laws with us so that will cover FIL too.

To bad your IL's live in the same state. Mine are 3 hours away and I'm more than happy about that. I do like/love my inlaws but I don't want them interfering in how I raise Oliver. I hope it turns out better than you expect. If not at least you have your mom & step dad who are thrilled for you.
