I saw today that TLC pulled production on the show....probably to focus on damage control rather than putting out a show to be scrutinized.

This is like a real life Truman Show!!!

If the lawyer did say to do that, thats gonna spell trouble. Not sure about PA laws, but in NY that's a no-no. The judges in supreme court here would be P-ed if a petitioner lied about the living separate and apart thing. My former-uncle tried that with my Aunt -- when the Judge found out he was lying, he ended up getting slammed big time and the Judge made him pay my Aunt more money for lying.

I think we have to wait and see if we will ever really hear the true story because tabloids will try to piece things together to sell stories as well. Perhaps they separated 2 years ago and got back together. Who knows. All I can say is that you can't really buy into anything that Hollywood says.

turns out, though, when Kate or her people filled out the divorce papers, they checked the option that stated the couple has lived separate and apart for two years. That would allow for a divorce pretty soon. But checking that option just means she has to wait, or has already waited, two years since deciding the marriage was over and they were living separate lives. Even sleeping in different bedrooms could prove they had separate lives and would allow for the divorce to take place right away.
She also checked the option which requires a 90 day period after the papers have been served. Meaning, after 90 days, once she and Jon agree the marriage is over, the divorce can take place.
Basically she checked every option available to get the quickest option for a divorce.
But from what we've seen of her on TV, we're hoping Jon signs those papers ASAP!

What's sad to me is that they did that whole Hawaii vow renewal and now they are getting divorced. They said to the camera they were doing it to show their kids that mommy and daddy loved each other and would always be together.
The kids are going to watch that footage when they get older and go ***?!

I read somewhere that they admitted to doing the vowel renewal only for the show. And the WHOLE trip was paid for by TLC and producers.

I also read the vowel renewal was for the show and paid for by TLC- I kind of think this whole thing is getting out of hand and is getting old. It's sad- i've been there and been a child of divorce and it's bad enough w/ out what those kids are having to deal with!

I think it's really sad. I had hoped they would both agree to stop the show and focus on their marriage, but instead they are divorcing and blasting it all over tv on top of it. That poor family!!

Well, I've read they have both "cheated" on each other.
Noone is really gonna know whats happend apart from them.

I think if she and her legal team believe this, she's counting her book tour and all of those things.
