Got word that the beta version of the board will go into effect this afternoon. For now, we'll still have the option of 'classic view' while they work on the wider width option for those who weren't liking the extra blue sides. But as soon as that's done we will lose the classic option altogether and only have the two new versions of blue to choose from.
They're still working on some of the issues like the trouble with logging in/out and the ads overlaying on some of the pages depending on your browser and they are working on that.
If I hear any more I'll update you girls.

ugh. i'm glad I will still have the classic option. Don't be surprised if I go MIA for a few days while they work out the starter bugs ....and I hope they fix the current bugs!

Well I think that since we'll have classic while the new beta is default... that we can stay on classic while they work out the bugs, and hopefully that should be done by the time they're finished with the other blue wider display option... hopefully you won't need to take a break.

Bah! I guess we will all adjust over time. I have a hard time remembering what is use to look like before this change. This makes the 4th change since I have been on JM!

I haven't looked at the Beta version yet (I should do that), but I personally hate the current layout! Everything is SOOOOO wide and I have to scroll left and right to read all of the posts. I've looked at every setting on this site and every sitting in my Internet Options and there is nothing I can change to make it better. So I personally am looking forward to the change.

I'm not liking the blue sides at all. Everything seems too narrow now.

I agree. The font size is the same but I feel like I need my glasses. Why don't we get a vote on these matters, or, is there an answer to why it changes so many times? Did the Eharmony buy out cause this?

I doubt it has much to do with Eharmony, its changed before too back about 2yrs ago or so and even once or twice before that. It is still crammed to me(but we have a larger screen) but i like the colors.

Just wanted to share this quote from Patty

I saw some posts that said something to the effect of “but you promised us we weren’t going to change.” Most of the Hosts that have been here a while know that we have redesigned the look of JM more than one time. We have always made updates to the site to improve the way it looks, make navigation easier, add new and improved features, etc. This is one of the things that has helped JM grow and stay current. We always strive to make the site better. We were planning to redesign the site anyway so this would have happened at some point.

This should also be the last big change comming to JM so we dont have to worry about the look changing again after this
