The marriott that we are going to be living in for the next several weeks, and having the home birth at, while up in Chicagoland (move back tomorrow) just called because the have a note in the computer saying we are going to be having a baby while we are with them....we told the manager last time we were there. Well......they thought it was a neat idea---they are upgrading us for FREE to a two bedroom suite with a FULL kitchen and living room with fireplace (we will for the first time in 3 yrs have an OVEN!). Your probably laughing a little right now but HOW COOL IS THAT! So I will be able to set up one of the bedrooms as a birthing room!!!!!

How neat! Do they know that you're planning on having the baby there? Or do they just think you'll be having the baby sometime during the course of your stay at a hospital?

That is so nice of them! For some reason it surprises me that it is okay with them that you are giving birth there. Not sure why, since I'm sure they might have had a surprise birth or two there.
Anyway, I think it's awesome you are having a home birth, and I can't wait! You are so close!

That is awesome! How great of them to upgrade you like that!
I can't wait to read your birth story. I'm soaking up all the homebirth stories I can to prepare for my own (hopefully!)!

That is awesome of them! For some reason I'm surprised that they will allow you to birth there also. I'm looking forward to your labor, delivery, and finding out what you are having!
Soo.. are you going to cook? I remember that your not into cooking. Maybe Troy will use the stove?

That rocks! I would have felt worried telling them I'd be birthing there and afraidd they'd try to tell me no or something That is incredible they're being so accomodating and I'm sure it'll be really nice to have the extra space to get things set up. and YAY for a kitchen! Now people can bring you frozen things to reheat those first few days.... hehehe.
& you can whip up some of your easy PB cookies

Does this mean I have to try to cook you something while in labor? Knowing my culinary skills, the food itself will scare the baby out of you.

FIRST THING i thought of was my PB cookies!!!! I didn't even thing of the frozen dinner things--but I Only know a couple people in the area so I don't think that will happen. But I SHOULD premake stuff and freeze it? (going to have to do a thread on WHAT/HOW to do that LOL.

Wow I didn't think they would allow something like that (well planned anyways!) because of like a law suit or something That's VERY cool!!! Maybe they think they will get media coverage or something outta it! haha.
Just one less thing you need to worry about!!
