Sorry to bombard you guys with all of the updates on the new board stuff but I know it's easy to miss if it's all in the same thread and I want to keep you guys up to speed.

Here's one of the positive things about the change... yes, there are a few more ads and they're taking up space on the sides of the board now. However, JM does need advertiser support to keep running well and so that this remains a free site for all of us. But JM is going back to its roots too! Most of the current advertisers are the big corporate guys... and while that's great b/c it means $ is coming in... JM also knows that we're looking for stuff for moms... made by moms

So JM is offering 16 WAHM moms (active JM members) 90 days of free advertising on the site! I think that's awesome and just reminds me why I feel in love with JM so much in the first place... it's STILL a tight knit community despite it's growing size.

It says they're taking entries for the spots until Friday July 3rd so I would guess sometime shortly after that. The thing is they're the button sized ads and I never see those on the forums now. (I'm using classic version so maybe they're there on the 'new' one) but I don't ever go anywhere on JM aside from the forums and the pregnancy calander... so if you don't use like the homepage and read those articles etc. then I guess you might not see them and it would be pointless to take off your ad blocker. Just kind of thinking out loud here- not really sure.

that's great.... but I can't read the posts. For some reason the ads overlap the posts covering the words. I had to switch back to classic.

How do you switch back to classic? I'm really confused because logging in took forever. I'm going to check and see if my cookies are enabled but UGH!

scroll to the bottom left hand corner and there's a little drop down tab. click on 'justmommies classic'

I don't mind the new JM on my home computer, but it kinda bites when i'm at work. We aren't allowed to get into our internet settings, which means I can't login or post at all. All I can do is read the plain text.
