Heading out of town for a week- we typically do a travel journal from the road. We are headed to the Frio River down south
Here is one from our last road trip. We didnt get internet the last 5 days so it just kinda stops. It also shows the lastest post, so to start from the beginning, you have to go to all entries and to first post and then pictures are separate forum next to journal
Road Trips and Adventures with Lauren and Clint
Last time we camped, we did it for about 3 1/2 weeks, in our Dodge Neon. THIS is what it looked like
The same gear (we havent bought anything new) in our Honda Odyssey

Are you going to the river that runs by Schlitterbahn? I can't remember the name of it, but I know it is a cold river. Have fun!!! Sounds like a blast.

I miss my Neon for sure! We had alot of memories around America in that car-- it was totaled so the Van came about a year ago
We didnt do the Schlitterbahn river (the Guadalupe and the Comal Rivers) because it was SUPER expensive. There are no state parks there so its all private campsites-- private campsites are ridiculously expensive, like $40 a night (hello can get a hotel for $40 on priceline if not cheaper when I bid my own price)
So we went to South Texas to the Frio River, at Garner State Park. GSP is the most visited state park in all of Texas
Let me go ahead and cut to the horrible news and I'll probably make a post about it. Jacob (our husky puppy) died when we were gone of Parvo. I guess he was still young enough that he couldnt fight it even with the vaccine. We had constant updates on Wednesday from about 6pm to 1am, when we finally made the call to put him down. Clint was an extreme mess (it was his baby) and then stayed plastered all day Thurs (something I've never seen before) but decided was probably just the best not to fight it. Of course when we decided to pack up and go to Houston a day early to StaceyC's house, then I had to pack camp while Clint was passed out snoring (this made for a fantastic snoring video I'll have to upload)
I"ll post pics in just a bit, uploading them all.
