One of my besties and I are in the newspaper this past sunday! I finally got a copy of the picture scanned in and thought I would share. We are at the Lexington [gay] Pride Festival!  The funny part is this: the photographer took the picture during a moment of silence for Gay Rights and AIDS victims... so we are holding hands, like about 500 other people were. He captioned the picture with our names, and said we were "partners"!  I guess he just assumed... I just about died laughing, lol. He used my married name as well, so I am sure DH's family will be pretty darn confused! 
In case you can't tell, we are the first (upper left) picture.

Omg thats too funny!!! I wanted to go to this years pride weekend, but the gay couple at my barn who usually work weekends asked if I could cover friday and saturday for them so they could go  they are so nice, not to mention REALLY cute I love your wings by the way

Haha, on Sunday I got a knock on my door. William answered it and there was my mom, holding the paper, laughing her ***** off! My grandmother also thought it was hilarious. DH's family has yet to say anything... but I am just waiting for it... they aren't as.... open-minded... as my family.

omg, that is so funny! What are the chances, especially to have you listed as partners. A few weeks ago my sister and I went to a gay parade, accidentally, because we thought it was some sort of carnival, until we noticed all the openly gay couples walking to it....doh! We went anyway, and some woman gave Elsa a gay pride flag. On the way back a guy said we were a beautiful couple and asked how long we'd been together, my sister was like, "feels like my whole life!"
