This is belated, but here is Matthew's 2 month update. At the dr's office he weighed 12 lb 2 oz and was 23.5 inches. 60th percentile for height and weight! This is up from 25th percentile at his 2 week visit. Go booby milk! He is still 100% breastfed and I think finally not in a growth spurt.

We are having to watch his head because he likes to look more to the left so the dr wants to be on the lookout for torticollis, but I know he can and does look to the right, he just wasn't doing it for the doctor.

He seems to be happier and not as fussy now. The spitting up still happens but less of the huge vomited spit ups, now that I am really trying and trying to burp him well (he's hard to burp) and he doesn't seem upset about it. I think most of his fussiness comes from getting tired and not wanting to go down and occassional gas, so I'm still trying to figure out what in my diet may be causing the gas. He is still hit or miss on sleeping, but it's improved just in the past week or so and we are starting to get more of a routine during the day. Some nights he wakes every few hours but then last night he slept 7 hours! Hopefully he'll start sleeping through the night more and more as time goes on. He's also napping a lot better, he takes 3 naps a day.
He smiles and coos and makes all sorts of cute noises. He's a sweetheart.

Many kids need a chiropractic adjustment post birth...it may help with his neck if he favors one side (and no the chiropractors don't do the big twist neck pop like they do for us...its more a subtle turn with some finger tip massage pops). Just a thought.

And way to go mom's milk!!!!!! LOVE the pictures he is soo cute!

Glad he's doing great! He's such a cutie... he looks a lot like David right now! I love the last pic... I was saying to DH today about how next year on the 4th we'll all be matchy matchy in our old navy shirts!

He looks a LOT like David but I see bits of me in him too.

David's sister saw Matthew the other day (hadn't seen him since he was a newborn) and she was like "Oh WOW, it's like David's face on a baby!" LOL

Shan, try to alternate where you place things he likes to look at... i.e. put his toys on his right side so he will look right for times of the day. Or if like Kirsty sometimes he gets fascinated by the TV, make him lie with it on his right. A girl on the UK board told me this just after Kirsty was born, to help avoid the head issues.

He sounds like he is doing fab!! WTG you! Growth spurts are hard going and it's like they just come out of 1 and go into another. Well done on getting a bit more routined! That takes a lot of doing! Be proud!
