Jack is doing really well at 3 weeks old now! He has had his moments of fussiness and projectile vomit, but overall he is a pretty chill baby. He recently began to not scream bloody murder through diaper changes, which is really fantastic! He is a strong guy too. I have had to on more then one occasion swaddle him super tight to get him to not punch himself or rip my nipple off with his kung fu reflexes while nursing. And sometimes when he is flipping out b/c he is being burped or he has gas, he really kicks my stomach hard and wails his arms about like he is 3 months, not 3 weeks! I don't ever remember infants being as strong as he is when I nannied. But I am glad he has such vigor
Nursing is going well. It isn't always perfect, but he is gaining and we seem to get through any little problems that arise just fine. We started doing tummy time recently too. I guess we started kinda late, but he can already lift his head a bit and turn his head side to side so I think he is ok with that so far. And he sleeps for 4 hour stretches now at night, sometimes a tiny bit longer. So sleep is not so bad for Dustin and I. And he is still giggling in his sleep and giving us smiles while awake Overall he is a cutie and the light of my day! There is so much to talk about with him I will start writing in my blog about it all and hopefully have more time to do so in the next few weeks.
Dustin goes back to work Monday which is a bummer. He is such an awesome dad and has been more then wonderful with helping me and taking care of Jack. But I am doing MUCH better physically and emotionally, so I am ready to take on my monster monkey myself. That first week and a half were rough though, but talking about it all--the bad birth experience and the hormones and the new pp body--has helped so much to get past the blues.
Okay, here are tons of pics!

What wool covers did you get? Right now I have no wool (just fleece and PUL)

^ loveybums
We got the crepe and interlock. Jack is not a super heavy wetter yet at his age, but he has been having some big pees that completely soak his entire prefold, and these work soooo well. And if it ever feels like it could be damp (it never feels damp though) I just air it out and use it on the next change. Bummis and thirsties have got nothing on this wool! I love them!

He's just beautiful, I am not in any way exaggerating when I say other than my own son I think he's probably the cutest baby I've ever seen.
