So tell me what you think is going on with me!

It's my first cycle charting since the baby came. And I know I probably won't be back to normal for awhile. But I'm interested in charting again to avoid.

I don't usually get alot of cramps during O time. This cycle, the cramps were so bad, I was in the fetal position stuck in bed! My temp went up and I got alot of EW CF so I figured I had Od. Well then yesterday, I get this huge amount of CF again and monster cramps. I'm use to seeing my CF and knowing the difference. I don't check my cervix though.

Is it even possible to O twice in a cycle? Or maybe my body tried to O before and couldn't quite do it? Any thoughts?

You can ovulate twice in a cycle, obviously - fraternal twins result from that. But usually it would be 2 eggs released within 24 hours of each other. Your high temps after the first set of cramps/CM come from progesterone, which comes from the corpus luteum, which is the byproduct of an ovulation, which tells me you probably did ovulate on CD13. The second set of cramps/CM may just be a surge in hormones as your body gets back to normal... Do you have any history of cysts? I doubt it would be a cyst but a corpus luteum that maybe didn't fully expel its egg and is collecting fluid, could feel the same as an ovulation cramp.

It is possible to ovulate twice in one cycle farther apart than 24 hours but it is very rare and very unlikely. My cousin's cousin had that happen to her. She was doing IVF and a week after they put the two embryos back she ovulated on her own and conceived again. So she had the twins from IVF and a "triplet" a week behind the other two. I know its different circumstances but it can happen.

Who knows, with your pp and breastfeeding hormones swirling around like crazy maybe you did ovulate again?

I agree with Kyle. From what I've read in TCOYF and other various places the only time you ovulate more than once its within 24 hour window of the first time. From your chart it does look like you O'd on CD13. It's possible your body could gear up to O and then not... but w/ the temp shift I'd say you did.

I hadn't heard of Oing more than once at different times like Jenn mentioned but I think that's really interesting! I'm sure it's pretty rare though and probably not something you'd need to worry about Morgan.

The first time I heard about O'ing twice was a few weeks ago when I heard about that woman who had twins from 2 different fathers. And it meant that she had to have unprotected sex with 2 men within a 24 hour period. WOW.

I know your body can gear up to O but not really O. I don't know if that means you will have a temp shift or not though.
