So this morning at work everything was fine and then all of a sudden everything was spinning and I was really dizzy. We have like tiled floor so I was trying to see if I could walk in a straight line and by that point I couldn't even put my feet down anywhere that *I* was trying to put them. I stumbled up front to tell my boss (who doesn't know I'm pregnant, I planned on telling him tomorrow when my other boss was there also (she knows)) and nearly face planted on the 486 degree conveyor oven. I settled for the floor and kind of just sprawled out and mumbled "somethings wrong, make sure I don't pass out." I just tried to stay focused on making anything NOT spin. I didn't ever actually pass out.
About ten minutes later I felt fine and stayed fine for most of the day. I've had over 100 ounces of water... so I know for sure I'm not dehydrated. (RIGHT?! Is that even possible?) the only other 'weird' thing I noticed today is my hands are swollen and my right ring finger is twitching. haha. Probably not related.
So I decided I needed my own blood pressure cuff and will start monitoring this 3 times a day at home and writing it all down to take to the doctor. So just now, at 7, I took my blood pressure while I was feeling completely fine and it's 73/39 with a pulse of 104. 39?! ***? I mean how low can you go before you're just like dead? I'm really curious what it was today when I nearly passed out if it's 39 and I'm feeling alright.
So anyway, I have a page in to the doctor now. I feel kind of silly... I don't know what they can do but I know my mom and DH will feel better letting the doctor know what's up. I'm hoping I don't get some kind of 'it's normal to go down in pregnancy' response because I really want to know when I SHOULD be concerned and if this dizzy/spinning/nearly fainting thing is going to continue to get worse like it has throughout my entire pregnancy thus far. It was so sudden it doesn't seem like it would be safe to be driving if it's going to be a regular thing, y'know?
Bah.
So right now I'm waiting for the doctor to call back.
****update***--
So the doctor called back and I explained that my biggest pregnancy symptom this whole time has been feeling dizzy/faint. I told her yesterday my BP was 75/51 and I was feeling okay. I explained how I nearly passed out today, and just took my BP again and it's 73/39. She asked how I was feeling and I said currently fine. She said I don't need to go to the ER if I'm not having issues with the low BP. I asked when I SHOULD go, since I nearly passed out today but still it was over within like ten minutes... I would have been fine by the time I got there. (Don't remember if/what answer I got to this... maybe I didn't actually say it out loud?) So basically she said to call the office when they open tomorrow and try to get squeezed in and they'd check my BP, my urine and the baby's heartbeat. She said to bring my cuff to be checked b/c it could just be my cuff. (Well if my cuff is reading low then my husband, mother, sister and neice all have insanely HIGH blood pressures since theirs are all 'normal.' haha. DH did his right before tonight's reading for me and his was 125/81 so I don't see how it could be the cuff.)
Oh and also, since I forgot to mention it in the OP... after the dizzy spell I was heading out the door and my boss goes "Could you be pregnant?" and with my back turned to him I was like "yeah, no I totally am." So, he took it fine and it was a lot easier since he asked. haha

OMG, that is actually really scary, Shannon. I would be worried if I was you too. I don't know how "common" it is, but I do know that I haven't ever felt like I'm about to faint. That's a warning sign, and 39 is really low and I think that there is some cause for concern here. You DON'T need to be getting hurt because of this! Good luck with your doctor!

Eeek...that's not good, Shannon!
I found this post from my Baby Blog- what happened to me sounds different than what is happening to you, and I never took my blood pressure. I assumed it was blood sugar related.
At 8 weeks I had an extremely scary incident. I had woken up around 6:30 on a Sunday morning, made myself a cup of ginger tea with two teaspoons of sugar, and used the computer until around 7:30. As I was sitting at the computer I started to feel nauseous. As soon as I got up and headed to the "throne" (just in case I needed to get sick) I felt like I was going to black out. I broke out into a heavy cold sweat, soaking through my t-shirt. I was shaking like a leaf and couldn't lift my head. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. I yelled for Will. I felt like I was going to die. It was so bad that I asked Will to take me to the hospital. He tried getting me to stand up but I couldn't. I was so terrified and out of it that I asked him to call an ambulance. I honestly felt like I was dying. He got me a glass of water and put a wet rag on my forehead, and slowly, it went away.
After that incident, Will and my mom thought that I had an anxiety attack, but that's so not me. I called the OB's office and she thought it might have something to do with my blood sugars after having a sweet tea early in the morning.

I'm glad your going in to see the doctor. That is scary.
When I was pregnant I had a few dizzy spells while at work too and I felt like I would pass out. I have had low blood pressure in the past too but I'm not sure how low. I called my doc and I remember her saying something about eating protein for breakfast but that isn't related to low blood pressure.

I didn't go in today. I took my BP this morning and it wasn't low like it's been... it was like 90something over 68 or something like that. I don't remember, but I wrote it down. I brought the blood pressure cuff with me to work in case anything got weird and had full intentions of calling to see if I could be squeezed in but we got busy and I didn't. I'm off tomorrow and figured that would work out better anyway since I'm currently feeling fine.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Make sure that anyone's who's working with you knows what's going on in case you get dizzy or faint or something. Or keep a note in your purse.

I'm glad you are feeling fine. I don't know about the bp being low or anything, but I do know about those dizzy feelings. With ds, I once layed down on the show beds at JcPenney bed and bath department because the floor was coming up to meet me so I can empathize with how miserable it is for you I hope they get it all straightened out! Could you be drinking too much water right now for you? I know it is supopsed tobe a gallon a day, but maybe that is too much for your body?
